Seems a lot of folks have difficulty with how to describe a number, so I thought I would shed a little light on it for whatever it is worth. If it ends in 1 it is 1st. 21st, 41st, 141st and so on and so forth. If it ends in 2 it is 2nd. 22nd, 42nd, 142nd and so on and so forth. If it ends in 3 it is 3rd. 23rd, 43rd, 143rd and so on and so forth. Only 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 0 end in "th." 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th. Hope that helps. 😀

Okay, but hasn't anyone pointed out the exceptions yet? Eleven, twelve, and thirteen, (11, 12, 13), and any bigger number that contains them, ends with a "th" sound. (At least that is how I end them!) 11 becomes 11th, NOT 11st. 111 becomes 111th, and so on. If you want to be extreme, 5,357,611 becomes 5,357,611th. 12 becomes 12th, NOT 12nd. 212 becomes 212th, and 5,357,612 becomes 5,357,612th. 13 becomes 13th, NOT 13rd. 313 becomes 313th, and 5,357,613 becomes 5,357,613th. Do you know anyone who says elevenst, twelvend, or thirteenerd?
