I used to think it was weird when I was younger, that I would go to my grandfather's house and he would be watching all the the old shows of his time. Now as I get older, I find we are watching all the old shows of our time. Columbo, Star Trek, Three's Company, All in the Family, The Jeffersons, Walker Texas Ranger, Night Court, Cheers, and countless others. I think we are just getting old. lol

What do you mean “getting”?
I like to consider myself a 48 year old spring chicken. lol
I'm firmly in the senior citizen category. Hell, I'm even receiving social (in)security.
But at the same time I am sure that social (in)security goes quite a lot farther in the Philippines than it would here in the U.S.
At first glance you would think so. But here, in addition to supporting my wife and two kids, I am supporting my mother-in-law, my sister-in-law, her hubby, her two kids, and a niece who lives with us. Additionally, I pay for the food of relatives and visitors. This is what happens if you marry a Filipina, so I knew what I was in for.
To me it is such a strange tradition, but I also realize the Filipino economy is not very good, so it is much more difficult for people to make it on their own.
