On my Youtube channel and other social media I like to review and introduce people to various ways to earn Crypto for little to no cost (Free). I come across many duds and many scams and many that just don't make it. I also come across many outright amazing projects too essentially it's why I do it. The crypto space is amazing and it's a great time to be alive and involved with it (if you forget about all of the other stuff in 2020).
One of my favorite projects is the Pi Network App. I've been part of it since very early and done countless videos on it. Many are still doubtful of it and although it has come a long way and shown it's legitimacy. It still has a way to go to be acknowledge as such by everyone. However it has shown some huge successes. With over 10 million engaged pioneers, test net up and running and the continued building of a platform inside the app with existing use cases. It's no wonder that there is now many apps trying to emulate their success.
Now I don't want to muddy the water and claim that any of these are scams. Nor will I tell you that these are legitimate either. I will say that the projects I list below do indeed have some positives and some concerns and I'll gladly go over them with you 1 by 1. If despite my harsh criticisms you still want to check out these apps for yourself. I will put referral links at the end.
Bee Network App
This easy to use app has a simple interface is is easy to navigate. It has a simple referral system that allows you to earn more "Bee" per hour for a larger referral network. It also is going to introduce a security circle which will increase your earnings and it has in fact enjoyed some great initial growth. It's free to use and free to download and uses no data or battery aside from logging on briefly each day. This is almost like the Pi Network App with a different user interface (UI). There are some major differences. It's free to use and free to download and uses no data or battery aside
The whitepaper looks like it was written in 30 mins by someone who partially understands whitepapers.
No Information on the team. 0, none, nada.
No real information on the tech behind it. How does the crypto work? Is it POS or POW or SCP or something else?
Limited Social media presence.
Unable to do anything with the coin
Use case?
Overall this seems like it has some limited potential as a Pi Network clone and competition is always good. I would like to see this grow and become something legitimate. I however highly doubt it. If you have limited space on your phone or are concerned about the limited information you grant them. Skip it.
Time Stope
This App is also easy to use and sign up. It actually has a wallet with public and private keys! This app is also not a clone of the Pi Network, however it's referral system in similar and you need to log on daily. Time stope is an interesting app and the unique idea of actually giving a monetized value to time in the form of Crypto is sometime that first drew me into this project. Then I began reading, the whitepaper was structured well and has the devs and team listed and even a roadmap. However it felt more like a philosophy lesson.
Chat is spammy and not much help.
Unusable crypto (Yet?)
Limited info on how the crypto works.
How can my time be monetized when I spend almost none there?
Use case?
This intended Crytpo is definitely interesting. It's view on time and making it a valued asset is unique. It's log in system is unique and even how a single persons earnings cap is unique. It has no current way to exchange however Peer2peer should be available soon. It does capture information however stats it any info sold will be anonymous. Will this succeed? I believe it will come to fruition however the success it has when it does may not be large. The crypto space is filled with coins with no use case and as of yet I see none here.
GeoCash
This app has the most potential here. It seems to be the most legitimate, has a real use case and the gains seems worthy. Currently there is ONLY peer 2 peer exchange and the future will bring this erc20(coming soon) to markets. There is even a liquidity incentive programs. It has an easy to use Interface, a well written white paper and overall a well put together project. So what's the problem? While they are forthcoming and upfront about it.
You must grant them permission to gather and sell your data
Only Peer 2 peer transfers so far
The Geo you gain is rewarded to you for the Data they collect. This includes location, apps installed and more. This is a sensitive issue for many and for this reason alone those concerned wont use it. For those that are willing to sell their info the Geo token it may well be worth it.
Midoin
This is the biggest loser. It's UI is sloppy an does not include any clear instructions. To be honest I'm not even sure if it's a Cryptocurrency or if it intends to be. It's a spam fest and I'm finding myself annoyed when the 24 hr notification to restart the auto miner pings me. There is peer 2 peer transfers so It has a use at least tho most of the services people are selling/buying is referrals on other apps.
No Whitepaper
Poor UI
Spam fest
I didn't bother creating a video for this app as I don't see any potential here. I'll likely delete the app and maybe check in on it every couple months to see if it progresses. I have little faith it will make it.
