"This is a fictional story about 3 main protagonist which talks about the true meaning of friendship and it's repercussions. This story was inspired by a true life event of a good friend of mine and I'm happy that I'll tell you his story".
John Leonard and Sarah Chan have been friends since the beginning of time, so to say. They grew up together, ate together and went everywhere together.
"BEST OF FRIENDS", is the best way to put it, as they were nearly inseperable when they were younger.
20 years passed, seeing the big adults they've become, they still had that childish part of them inside their hearts anytime they were with each other. John really loved Sarah, the same way Sarah loved John.
Though they loved each other so very much but there was always this tiny line that didn't let them to date each other.
John, a very smart and dauntless lad, who studies the works of Engineering in the university has always been keen when it comes to the likes of Sarah
Sarah, on the other hand is studying to be an actress, and I'll tell you she's very passionate about it. John being the good friend he is, supports Sarah's dreams and passion with all of his heart.
You can say things can't go south from here, I mean they're good friends so it's obviously a good fairy tale were everyone lives happy ever after; well, not for this story. Everyone has a dark secret, something they cannot share, not even to someone that they loved and cherish so very much, not even to a good friend like John.
Sarah had many secrets, secrets she cannot speak of, secrets she would never share with her Best Friend John. John on the other hand never keeps not even the littlest details from Sarah, he tells her the head and tail, the beginning and end.
The Jolly two went out on an evening stroll near the school's premises, chatting and cracking jokes, watching the stars and admiring their twinkling lights. John saw this as a good opportunity to tap the leap and ask his good friend Sarah to be more than his friend and be his lover.
John mustard up as much courage as he could and said "Here go's Nothing". He held Sarah's hands as the two adorable friends gazed at each others eyes admiring one another, John then pulled out with the question, that would either wreck him or make him happy and proud.
"Sarah, we've been friends for so long and I want us to be more than that, I would love to spend the rest of my days with you". Sarah, not knowing what to say as she was too stunned to speak let go of John's hands, John wondering what he said wrong asked "Did I say or do anything wrong?, C'mon, say something, anything". Sarah hesitating to speak too her purse and left John alone in the grace of the street lights in the dark.
Days went by after that weird incident, the two good friends didn't speak to each other, neither did they text. John was heartbroken and confused because he didn't know what Sarah really felt about him, "Maybe I should just call and check on her" he thought at the back of his head. He grabbed his phone and called Sarah.
She was reluctant to even pick up the phone but she misses John, she picked up the phone and they spoke for several minutes before ending the call. Later that day, Sarah texted John to meet her in the popular school garden so that she would give a proper explanation for her actions that occured that night.
On seeing each other in the garden, even with the urge not to look at each other, John asked with a mild yet angry tone, "Why would you abandon me in the dark last night, you didn't even say anything after I confessed what I felt for you". Sarah with her right hand rubbing her left elbow while looking down said, "It's not that I don't want to but I can't, I'm already in a relationship with someone else"
John's heart shattered in pieces as he didn't even know his best friend had a lover already. "Why didn't you mention that all this time Sarah, why?", John asked as he was trying to pull away the tears from his eyes. Sarah breaking down in tears said, "It's because the person I'm in love with is someone that you don't even want to see".............
