Our Environment -River (Personal)
When I first heard about the plan to build an oil storage facility and recycling plant near our river in my community,I remember of the weekends my family spent there every summer when I was a kid.We'd camp out and fish,swim,and explore caves in nearby woods. My grandfather taught me how to fish there.And he and I spent hours hiking in the woods,where I learned to identify local plants and animals. The river and the land around it were both familiar and unique.I learned a lot about there from my grandfather,and today as I become an adult, it changed.There aren't any fish as many fish, and some animals no longer inhabit the woods. According to the environmentalist,that's because they find it difficult to adjust to constant noise from new highways and to avoid dangers from trash.And they said that they usually do cleaning up after folks recklessly leave plastic materials that harm animals. Now, we face the danger of losing more animals from possible oil spills at proposed facility.Our river and the animals need to be protected and preserved.The danger is real, and only we people can stop it.If we allow our rich natural resources to be destroyed,our lives will be forever changed. We won't able to undo what we have done.These new facilities will discharge waste into the river.That will impact not only our part of the river but all the of it travels towards the ocean.Animals and nearby soil become contaminated. We must protect our environment So we should be responsible by protecting it, to call our government and local officials to register concerns. People are able and responsive to taking care of our environment because we are also affected in any changes happened. Like global warming . climate changes. Hope that nt happened.😥

Same as here my friend, this river near our house I clearly remember, I'm already 10 years old that time. We used to go to other side of river to get small crabs and people near the river use net to fish. But after 10 years now it's a messed up by factories around. I hope they put a water treatment plant inside that facility so it would safer for all.
