With the emergence of the Stepn project, Move-to-Earn based projects have become very popular lately. We will see together whether Move-to-Earn, which has entered our lives, can reach its potential.

What is Move-to-Earn?

Move-to-Earn is a model that uses a technology that tracks human movement and measures these movements with the help of a sensor, helping users earn money through their daily movements.

The advantage of the Move-to-Earn model over Play-to-Earn is that users do not need to be constantly connected to their phones. Users only need to be physically active for a certain amount of time as certain rewards are earned in exchange for certain times.

Some practical advantages of Move-to-Earn, as well as encouraging people to move, can increase the popularity of projects in this field.

Move-to-Earn Projects with High Potential

Genopets

Genopets is a Move-to-Earn project in the Solana ecosystem that invests in the GameFi space. Users try to nurture and develop their Genopets.

Genopets is a combination of 3 playstyles: nurturing and cultivating a creature in Tamagochi, training and fighting a creature in Pokemon, and catching a creature in Animal Crossing. Users need to acquire Genopets and join Neon Genoverses, then complete tasks in the app. So users can win prizes.

$GENE is Genopets' governance token. $GENE holders can have a say in in-game voting, staking $GENE to earn rewards.

OliveX

OliveX is collaborating with many popular Metaverse projects on the market, such as The Sandbox, to build a Metaverse dedicated to physical activity called the "Fitness Metaverse".

Unlike Stepn and Genopets, Olivex targets a broader market of users who exercise at home, gym and outdoors in more than 170 countries around the world. Currently the project is developing three apps: Dustland Runner for runners and Dustland Rider for cyclists, 22 Push-ups for push-ups. The project also invests in projects such as DEFY and Genopets. $DOSE is OliveX's native token.

Wirtual

Like Stepn, Wirtual positions itself as a health/life app. However, the marketed product is fundamentally quite different from each other. Wirtual focuses on the pay-when-you-go model, which allows users to compete with each other on range, speed, and more.

To earn $WIR tokens in this app, you need to participate in tasks like running, cycling or even swimming. For users who do not have $WIR token, the daily earning limit is limited to 0.1 $WIR. Having more $WIR will allow you to unlock new levels, which will help you earn more $WIR.

Metz

Metz is a new project that has raised $700,000 through Community Funding. There is not much information about the project at the moment, but it looks like the project will have a lot in common with Stepn and Genopets in terms of rewarding users with products such as tokens and NFT.

DEFY

We have already mentioned above that OliveX has invested in DEFY, so it is clear that many new improvements and enhancements will be added to DEFY. DEFY, Pokemon Go, Zombie Run etc. It is a Move-to-Earn project that combines some aspects of traditional games such as the Metaverse with some similarities.

Fitness

This project is another Move-to-Earn project similar to Stepn, but still in development. Fitmint is currently whitelisting NFT sales.

Step

Like Stepn, the Step project allows users to both move and earn crypto. According to the description included in the Step whitepaper, the Step mechanism is said to be like a gym membership that pays you for every step you take. Step will track your steps with a mobile app and give crypto rewards based on how far you travel each day.
