What's in your hand?

What's more, the LORD said to him, "What is that in your grasp?"

Exodus 4:2

Let me ask you an inquiry: What are you acceptable at doing? What ability and capacity do you have? Maybe you are acceptable at singing, or talking, or educating, or sorting out, or working with your hands, or drawing/painting, or playing sports, or assembling business arrangements, or playing an instrument. Everybody is acceptable at something. What is that something for you?

MOSES

Do you know what Moses was acceptable at doing? He was acceptable at being a shepherd. He was a shepherd in Midian for a very long time. At the point when God met him at the consuming shrub and charged him to convey Israel from Pharaoh, Moses felt VERY unprepared for the errand and contended with God that He had some unacceptable person. Furthermore, God accomplished something peculiar with Moses. He asked him, "What is that in your grasp?" (Exodus 4:2).

In Moses' grasp was his shepherd's staff. That staff spoke to Moses' profession, his occupation, his ABILITY. What's more, God said to him, "Toss it on the ground" (Exodus 4:3).

At the point when Moses tossed it on the ground, the staff turned into a snake. Moses had no clue there was a snake in his staff. Moses was apprehensive and ran from the snake. At that point God advised him to get the snake by the tail, and the snake turned into a staff once more. Never again was the staff the "pole of Moses," it was presently the "pole of God." It was currently fit to be utilized not to lead sheep, but rather to lead God's kin—around 2,000,000 in number. Moses staff had been changed, and it would have been utilized for incredible things!

Moses loosened up the "pole of God" and the Red Sea separated (Exodus 14). Moses lifted up the "bar of God" and the Israelites won the fight against Amalek (Exodus 17). An awesome change occurred in Moses' capacity since he was happy to obey God and "toss it [his staff] on the ground" before the Lord.

TOSS IT DOWN

Did you realize that what you are normally acceptable at doing, what you can do by your quality, inventiveness and ability is much the same as Moses' staff? Your "capacity" has a snake in it. What's more, until your "capacity" is tossed down and respected the Lord, it can never be utilized for His magnificence.

What is in your grasp? Will you toss it down before the Lord? Will you uninhibitedly and energetically give that capacity over to God so He can eliminate the snake from it, bless it, and use it for more prominent things than you might envision?

God is requesting that you toss it down. What is your response to Him?

PRAYER 🙏

Father GOD, You have given me an inclination and a capacity for ___________________.

It is the thing that I am acceptable at doing. I need to yield that capacity to You. I uninhibitedly and eagerly toss it down before your feet. It is not, at this point mine; it is Yours. If you don't mind remove the snake from it so I can genuinely serve for Your brilliance and not for my greatness. I look with desire and energy for what You will do in me and through me, Lord, for You are the God who does "surpassing plentifully past all we ask or think" (Ephesians 3:20). Also, I guarantee that wealth in Jesus' name!
