It is really disappointing that in my recent article someone gave downvote. I am wondering about what can be wrong? As soon as it is approved by the group #Bengali.people I noticed one downvote. Please, tell me what is wrong in that article, I will try to improve. I also like to draw the attention of the moderator of that group #aminul! Same dilemma I have a while ago. I submitted my entry for alcohol effects and someone gave downvote though according to others there's nothing wrong with my article. Thankfully it was changed back to thumbs up minutes later after I posted something about it.
I wonder who does things like that. If it has happened mistakenly then ok. But if someone is doing that intentionally I think it is totally madness. I appreciate criticism but not in that hidden way. If someone gives me advice through comments I appreciate that more.
I had a quick look at your post. Are those photos made by you? If not it l might be a reason for a downvote. It would be more helpful indeed if people as give a reason. Especially because it's not a blank post or some random typed words. It can be someone who doesn't like the topic but that shouldn't be a reason for a downvote. A good writer makes a great article out of the most - to me - boring subjects.
Those photos are licensed photos. And I have researched what kind of photos I can use for an article. I am aware of photograph issues and here people advised me to use licensed photos for an article. And that article is about ethnic groups and It is not possible to visit the whole country to click their pictures. So, I picked some licensed photos for a clear view about them. And in my travel-related articles I always use pictures that I click. Thanks for your concern.
I try to understand what you mean by licensed photos I hope you mean the opposite. If someone else has the license you have to ask for explicit permission to use them. For example photos you use from Unsplash and pixabay are not licensed and you can use them freely. If I upload my photos on pixabay I agree with their terms and anyone is free to use them without mentioning me. I don't know if this is the reason for a downvote, the photos I mean, I do understand you cannot travel the country, but if that's the case you have to be creative and use something different to brighten up your post. You can add a link to a site, perhaps a YouTube video for those who like to see next to reading. It's one of the reasons you won't find many photos with me. I don't have them.
Actually I wanted to mean licences free. I read about the terms before using those pictures. They are free to copy and share.
Like said it's the only thing I can think off after a quick look but if it comes to it you never know why someone Down votes. Accidentally, because they don't le the subject, don't like you, like to see if you notice it or?
