Sunset before Chaos

This picture was taken last January 2020 right on the day Taal volcano in the Philippines was starting to spurt out its rage in Batangas. That dark part on the upper left, I thought it was just night clouds or possibly rain clouds. The next day, the demand for masks started to rise. A month after, the pandemic. This was the last sunset I took a shot of without a mask or a face shield on. And with no worries with the distance of the other curious street photographers, street vendors, curious walkers-by, regular sunset watchers of the Manila bay. This was that sunset before the chaos series began.

Walk slowly.

Take in every scenery your eye can see, your brain can get excited about and your heart can embrace.

Breathe in. It's free.

. . . at least it WAS.

Watch the sun kiss the horizon and let the sky's changing colors wave goodnight at you. Take it all in.

Listen to the waves making gentle crashes on the shore.

Breathe in as the night slowly takes its place. It's free.

. . . at least it WAS.

Mark the days that were bright and vibrant. Always remember that each day is a privilege we did not earn but that we are blessed with.
