This image here made me nostalgic. I probably have established in my Noise posts that I am a coffee drinker and this may just be one of those cups. But no this image is more than just a cup. This small red vendo cup of cappuccino is that cup that brought the aroma of the late "normal" back to life.
Even for just a few seconds, it painted a smile on my heart. This cup reminds me of when we were not yet paranoid of touching buttons on the vending machine risking getting infected.
This was when I sit with my office friends. Knees almost touching and may be cramped in a small table but not minding the distance as that connection somehow re-settles your sanity before a day's work, in the middle of a crazy task-packed, everything-is-a-priority day, and even after that.
Heads joined in with hushed careful voices as you talk about what made you stressed out that day. Then conversations escalating to erupting laughter.
Shared air..
No distance..
Smiles not covered..
High-fives that hit palm and palm not air. .
Warmth.
Realness.
Life.
