Am sure you must have either been a victim, witness or heard of people going bankrupt or scammed on the internet.

The internet is not actually as safe as you taught. There are many ways hackers steal people's money which I will be telling you guys in this article just so that you guys will learn how to secure yourself and stay safe on the internet.

Firstly, the most easiest method and most widely known method hackers steals people money is called "PHISHING". Am sure some of you here must be familiar with phishing or might have heard of it somewhere.

PHISHING is actually a technique whereby a hacker clone an exact copy of a website page (mostly website login page ), then the hacker host this website anonymously on website hosting softwares which makes it looks completely real then trick innocent people into login in that website and in a blink of an eye the hackers gets your login details. I know this looks difficult to people but nowadays it has become easy for people to create phishing pages. Everyone can now make a phishing attack within a second with the help of powerful hacking tools like Kali Linux( For Pc, laptop and mac ) and termux (for android and other devices)

Anyone can create a phishing page with either of tye apps I listened above . Let take go instance termux. They're lots of tools used in termux for creating phishing pages e.g Black eye, HiddenEye, ShellFish etc.

Above is a picture of HiddenEye in action as you can see it has already make a clone page of paypal login page and it has provided link to be sent to victim (s) once you send that link to anyone and he login immediately you receive victim's login details and IP address.

How to protect yourself from phishing attacks

• Always make sure link you click on from emails, Facebook, WhatsApp, instagram, etc are from a trusted source

• Check the URL of website you visit because some phishing link url might looks real from the starting but letter changes into something else like this http://localhost.8080 or something close that

• Always access untrusted sites with VPN( Virtual Private Network) in other to keep you IP address safe (Internet Protocol Address).

Also note that not all hackers are actually after your money. There are three types of hackers which are BlackHat hackers, WhiteHat hackers and Ethical hackers
