What Does Nature Teach Us?

Every human being's greatest wish to have no problems, or if there are any, to solve them as quickly as possible, if possible with the least possible interference from us.

We would like that to be the case, but unfortunately we do not have a magic wand with which, if we just wave it and say a magic word, everything will be as right as rain.

The reality is, as nature teaches us, that it takes time for everything frozen to thaw. There is a time for every change, and it is good to be aware of it, because then we become less hard on ourselves.

At the end of winter or early spring, if you go out into nature, you can see that the waters of small rivers or lakes are slowly beginning to thaw. The frozen water can be a problem for the river, because it prevents it from flowing. It won't thaw overnight either.

If you think back to an older problem, it's like a dark still image, most similar to the end of winter. It's a frozen flow of life, where time has stopped and won't let us move forward. If you sometimes feel frozen, you know what I'm talking about.

Just like spring and summer don't come overnight or the freezer doesn't thaw in 10 minutes, it's no different in our inner world.

The Nature Of The Inner Freeze

Most people may seem cheerful and smiley, because the inner frost is not a natural phenomenon, that is born with us. After the birth of any young child, they live a dynamic life with many changing moods, with cheerfulness, laughter, tantrum and cries. They never seem to freeze.

However, there are some people who cannot laugh from the heart. The inner freeze develops throughout our lives when they come to a painful point, which may be experiencing a disappointment, divorce or some tragedy for which there is no solution. It's when the heart freezes.

They turn inward and may freeze for an extended period of time. They may be unable to form new relationships or experience deeper emotions. Only after a long time will they be able to open up again and show interest in the world in response to something unexpected.

For a time of change and improvement, it is good to have someone to be honest with, to listen to and to be understood. Emotionally, they are still weak at this time, but there is no need to fear this, as this emotional chaos is quite normal during the thaw.

The Melting Under The Ice Begins

During this period, the melting has begun and the thick-looking ice cover can be as thin as a sheet of ice, because the melting starts from below, like the water in a stream. Hikers know better than to step on the ice, as it could break under their feet at any time.

An unexpected event, a love affair or anything else, that can make you happy, can accelerate the melt and the ice will break in and you will slowly return to where you were before and the dynamics will once again define your life.

You have to be prepared for this in some way, because it won't be so easy in the early stages. Although the ice has melted and broken, suddenly life will start to happen both around you and within you.

Restlessness

Before any change, an inner restlessness arises an anxiety, that warns you to prepare for life after the change. Something you've had enough of feels like it's time to break free. This feeling is exactly like when you are preparing for something big or exciting and it keeps you awake, because something inside you is tingling.

This restlessness is the anticipation of change. If you don't know what to do with yourself, you're so restless, don't be surprised if you become a little more active in your daily life and even enjoy doing the unnecessary things. It's a sign that you're feeling the change, the time for a complete thaw.

Sudden Emotional Currents

When the ice has turned to water, or the frost inside you has completely melted, emotional waves can catch you and carry you away. You may be faced with disproportionately strong emotional reactions to small things, which may be unusual for a balanced person. You may think you have suddenly become hysterical, when these are just signs of change, which is unusual. Your environment doesn't understand what's going on with you.

If you've shut yourself away in pain, your friends may not always understand what's wrong, they may want to help, when you open up again it may seem like you're starting a new life and you may even be clumsy at times, which can also be incomprehensible to those around you.

Stay away from people who try to re-educate you as a way of helping you. They say things like:"get a grip, you shouldn't be thinking about this any more" and so on. A real friend will accept you in your time of change and understand you, which is not easy, because often we don't even understand ourselves.

This phenomenon can be familiar during the adolescent transition. It is also a time when we behave as if we are on an emotional rollercoaster, giving our parents a hard time for years to come. It's worthwhile to engage in something self-educational during this time to calm the overwhelming emotional waves.

You don't have to take everything on yourself during this period. This is also very typical. It's a good time to create a quiet corner for yourself, where you can retreat from the hustle and bustle of the world if you need to.

Flood Risk

Due to emotional surges, sudden mood swings may occur, which may seem insignificant to others, but could mean a lot to you. It's not impossible to throw a tantrum over something small or long forgotten. Happiness attacks are part of this. You may suddenly fall into a deep love you never imagined before.

Years of being cold and closed off can now backfire. You need to control it by trying something new or changing your environment. Finding balance takes time. When the thaw is complete and we see, that it is now completely irreversible.

This is when the world opens up and new possibilities come, an old dream discarded is created, old friends are found. It is also the time when everything in nature is alive again, when flowers bloom, butterflies emerge, trees are green again. Allow yourself to blossom and enjoy the beauty of nature and with it your new life.

Stream And Its Stones

As you are yourself again and enjoying every minute of your life, you may find yourself over-ambitious or over-convincing. The world and those around you don't need to be convinced and you don't need to believe that you own the world.

The water of the stream does not stop to argue with its stones, whether I will wash you away or break through you. It quietly bypasses and flows on in its own course and merrily on towards its goal.
