The Power of the Written Word in Times of Tragedy

In times like these, when tragedy strikes and the world is consumed by the chaos of war, the power of the written word can often feel inconsequential, even trivial.

It's as if our pens and papers are feeble instruments in the face of such monumental human drama. These moments force us to question the worth of our prose and poetry when compared to the mightiness of the battlefield.

But, you see, it's precisely during these times that the written word finds its most profound purpose.

While it's true that writers may not shoulder rifles on the front lines, they bear a different kind of weapon – the power to document, to bear witness, and to ignite change through their words.

Our words have the potential to shape history, to inspire compassion, and to hold those responsible for the scourge of war accountable.

War, the one scourge that can never be excused nor truly explained, is indeed a creation of humanity's own making.

It's a reminder of our capacity for both destruction and creation. And it's the duty of writers, of passionate individuals to use their pens as swords, cutting through the fog of ignorance and indifference, and shining a light on the human cost of conflict.

In these moments of tragedy, when words may seem inadequate, remember that they are the bridge between our past, present, and future.

They have the power to ensure that this mighty drama doesn't become an eternal curse on mankind.

So, let us write passionately, truthfully, and relentlessly, for our words are the torches that can guide us toward a world free from the shackles of war, where the written word, far from being useless, becomes the beacon of hope and change we so desperately need.

It is very sad to think about war, to think about all those countries where there is war. To think that there are also people who risk their lives to give us information about what is happening, it is an attempt against their life but it is their passion and you go after it.

Lots of young lives have been ended because of war. For the survivors it is a life long memory even possible nightmares. Terrible thing!

You can't plant bombs and harvest flowers. Where the presence of God is not present, there is only evil. Depression, madness, murders, amputees, disabled and many more harms. It is sad 😭
