Multiverses | Are There Parallel Universes?

The universe itself, the solar systems, the galaxies, the planets, all raise many questions. Personally, I like astronomy. I watch a lot of astronomy series, short films, read articles and books. In my interest and research I have met many people, who contradict what we have learned. Such as flat earth believers and those, who believe we are not alone. Let's not go into that now.

The other thing is, that we have been taught, that there is one universe, that includes our Milky Way galaxy among many other galaxies and within it our earth in the solar system, but the question arises as to whether there are parallel universes.

What are the theories about parallel universes, how they are created, where they are, what they are like and whether we can exist in a parallel universe. In this article I seek to answer these questions.

As I dug deeper and deeper into the subject, I kept coming up with quantum physics, quantum mechanics and quantum theories, which adds endless complexity to the already difficult astrophysics. So if there is something you disagree with, or perhaps know better, feel free to post it in the comments. Ok let's get started.

Bubble Universe

Based on our studies, we know that there was a big bang, that started with a tiny dot, around which there was not only no air and space, but nothing. This is beyond my imagination, which I can't even fathom. This tiny dot started to expand, which we call the big bang, and from this our universe was created, according to theory. However, researchers still cannot answer the question of what was there before the big bang and how it came about. According to the bubble theory, there are several such bubble universes. It is called the inflationary theory of cosmology.

There are several similar explanations for this theory. One of them is that, there is a super-universe in which various quantum sustensities and quantum processes are created, resulting in an expansion at one point in space, that creates these separate bubble universes. Another explanation is, that the big bang caused the expansion to start at different places with different velocities and that this resulted in different bubble universes.

There may be thousands or even billions of such other universes, where the laws of physics may be different from our laws of physics. The reason we are in this universe is because our physical laws are adequate for life to form and sustain itself.

Mathematical Theory

There is a theory, that mathematical methods can be used to detect the existence of parallel universes. The expansion of the universe is best thought of as a sphere expanding continuously, but scientists believe, that universes are probably flat.

According to Einstein's theory of relativity, mass can bend space. This is also true for universes. If the mass in the universe does not reach a certain critical mass, which scientists have calculated, the universe will expand rapidly and become an open universe in the form of a saddle.

If the mass of matter is greater, than the critical mass, then the universe will bend back on itself, resulting in a closed universe, where rapid expansion stops.

If the universe contains a similar critical mass, then after an infinite time the expansion slows down and stops, at which point the universe is flat and infinite in all directions. Here, we have an infinite space with an finite number of particles in it. If this number is finite, then it is mathematically calculable, that everything repeats. In this case, if we were to travel billions of light years away we would find ourselves somewhere in the universe in the same world that we live in.

Many Worlds Theory

According to the many worlds theory, there is not one reality, but many. We are in every single reality. If we decide to go to our friends' birthday party, instead of a concert, at the moment of the decision a parallel universe has been created, in which universes we are in.

If we go to the birthday party, we are in one universe, but in the other parallel universe at the same time we are in the same reality, when we go to the concert. This can happen if we have let's say 10 choices and we stick to the birthday party.

So we experience the birthday party, because we went there, but it does not mean we are not at the other 9 events at the same time. We are there too in those 9 other paralell universes, but we cannot experience all the others. Can you follow?

These are very interesting theories, but only theories. Scientifically non of them can be proven. The reason why I like these kind of things is because in this world we are very very tiny compared to the whole universe or multiverse if exist.

Can you imagine a tiny little insect let's say an ant that we see, but they cannot see us, therefore they have no idea about, that we exist and we are watching them. So how can we be sure, that we have only one universe in the whole shebang.

I am also interested in topics like these. Prallel universess. I even have one anime I like to watch. One is entitled "Orange" , I think. You might want to watch it when you have time. :)

I heard about this parallel world but i totally don't believe in conspiracies. But i love to see memes based on Parallel universe so it's funny for me to hear about it.

Yes I think memes made by those who don't believe in such things. I personally believe what I see with my own eyes. Everything else is just theories.

You're right, how to believe in something that you do not even know if it exists? there must be many things that we do not know beyond the visible.

Yes and maybe there are things within the visible that we don't know, because certain people don't want us to know.

That is also possible, good point.

Such a fascinating field and subject, multiverses. Once you go into studying the possibility, you'll never look at life on Earth the same. There will be a whole new perspective and you'll never feel the same again.

That is very true. I like to look into these kind of things. I am open to anything in this field. I listen all kinds of theories an try to imagine them. I do listen the flat eart theory too. Those believers come up with interesting explanations about it. What we believe is one thing what exists is another thing. Thanks for reading and upvoting.

Me too. I like to read up on stuff like this. It gives my brain a bit of exercise. :)
