Sometimes we truly think we’ll never experience a hardship, because we’ve always been safe and protected. That’s just not true. So sit back and think about the difficult struggles, that you and your peers have dealt with and survived. These struggles will shape your journey and be touching through it all.

One of the best ways to deal with any problems in your life is knowing what they are. If you know you are going to have a difficult time, the only positive way out is to accept it and find ways to move forward. It does not mean, that you have to be strong, just that you have to have determination. The harder you are on yourself, the better you will be in the long run, but that does not mean, that you should beat yourself up if you mess up. Be confident, but realistic.

In this article I am going to list 7 common life hardships, that you might have experienced in your life one way or another.

Lack Of Love

Family: This is a big one, that a lot of people face. You might be a prodigy or a genius, but none of that means a thing if you don't have the support to go with it. The vast majority of people have to rely on other people, whether it be for money, protection, or just someone to talk to. If you don't have any of those things, then life will be rough.

Friends: Just as important as family, but many people don't realize, how much value friends can have in their lives. Even if you aren't close to someone, it can help to have someone to speak to on difficult days.

Love: This is probably the hardest one out of all of them. There have been many times I've played this game and it has never been easy. Sometimes you can get lucky and find love, but it is always fleeting. A relationship is always hard work, but it's worth it when you get to spend time with the person you love. You can't forget, that they are there for you, always.

Losing A Job

This is one of the more common things, but it is still rough. When your job is taken away from you, it can really put you down. Nobody wants to hear how you're struggling, but it is important to stay positive. If you don't have anything, then you might as well have something to keep your mind occupied.

If you're really unlucky, you could lose everything. Then what will you do? This is the time where you'll need to rely on your friends and family more than ever. Your goals will change and you need to make sure, that you want to stick with this path. Because if you don't, there is no incentive to go on.

Losing Trust In People You Trusted So Much

As the saying goes, "Bad things happen to good people", this is especially true when it comes to life. If you have people in your life, that you trust and can rely on, losing that is rough. It's even worse when you have put your trust in the wrong people and it ends badly. I have never played this path, but if I did, this is obviously a hard one to have.

However, if you had people that you could lean on and trust in real life, then you would definitely be happier. The problem with that is you can't just throw away caution and do that. You need to play the odds and rely on the people, that have proven themselves to be reliable. You can't afford to be giving your trust to everyone, but there are some real opportunities that you missed out on because you were being too cautious (let's not talk about how many people you probably could have avoided losing due to being too cautious).

This hardship is probably the toughest out of the lot, mainly because it is very personal. You can't really talk about it to anyone, because no one will understand, and you'll just be taken for a ride. Just have to deal with it and the sooner the better.

Getting Rejected By Someone You Like

It's always tough being turned down, but at the same time it is a bit liberating. There's no way to prepare yourself for disappointment. It sucks and it is definitely the worst kind of hardship. You can't really go through life worrying about what you'll feel, if someone doesn't like you, you shouldn't base your life around others opinion.

However, there are some harsh realities, that people don't really talk about. Namely, that sometimes someone isn't going to like you for who you are. They might have legitimate reasons, but that doesn't make it any easier. It could be a totally one off thing, and there is nothing you can do to change their mind.

It could just be a matter of time before they aren't interested anymore, but the fear of being alone forever is going to slowly eat away at you. Because no matter how much you try to push these thoughts from your mind, they are going to be there. People might forget about you or move on from you, but never you. That is how lasting these feelings are.

The other harsh reality of this situation is that it is almost always one sided. You can't just force someone to like you, and most times if someone likes you they will at least go out with you and try to do so.

The best you can do is keep yourself busy, and not worry about it. If someone does like you, then great! There are worse things in this world. If they don't, then that's still okay. You can't be focusing on someone, who isn't interested anyway.

Getting Lost In Thought

There's a lot of things, that can happen in your life, that can cause you to be lost in thought. You might be thinking about something, that happened recently or even from your childhood. However, these memories might start to cause a flood of other memories, that you were trying to push away.

For example, let's say you have a vivid memory of your parents fighting whenever you go to visit them. As a child, this was really scary to you and you would always try to avoid such occasions. As you get older, your attempts to push this memory away fail and you start to realize it is actually causing you distress.

As it stands, you don't really know how to feel about this. Was your childhood actually all that great? Was your childhood so bad, that it caused you to fear your parents fighting? Or, are you just going crazy and this is all in your head?

In this case this would be a good time to take a break. Maybe have someone you trust talk to you. If you can't get anyone to help you, then you'll just have to take a break. Remember, when taking a break, you continue to keep these thoughts to yourself. If you feel like you can handle it, then continue on.

A New Set Of Skills To Master

As you get older, you find yourself increasingly seeking out challenges. Whether it's something academic or something physical, you always want to be one step ahead.

However, challenges can easily take a toll on your body if you're not careful. Over the years you've built up your skills to a level, that you believe you're pretty good at it. There's a lot of things you haven't tried yet though, mainly because you're a bit too busy with other things.

However, you believe that it is time to test your skills against a greater challenge. Namely, the challenge that is facing the world right now. Figuring out an answer to how to stop this destruction would be a worthy challenge for you to take on.

The problem is, you don't know where to start. You know there's more to this phenomenon than what people believe, but what? How? Will you have to roll the dice and take a chance on what you think might work? The chances of success are pretty low, but you feel like you should at least give it a go.

You can't go to anyone for help either. For one thing, most of the people you know wouldn't take your word for it. They'd probably think you were a bit crazy to be thinking about tackling such an overwhelming challenge yourself.

Feeling Lonely And Depressed

Being lonely and depressed is one of the toughest hardship in life. We are social beings, that need friends and loved ones. Just when you think that you've got your life together, something can still happen that can throw everything off track. Sometimes you can be on top of the world, and then everything can end like in a matter of hours.

As you grow older, these feelings only get worse. You start worrying about things you can't control and that only ends up pushing you deeper into the hole of depression. The older you get, the harder it is to find ways to cope with your problems.

As you are getting older, you start to think things like, "what is the purpose of my life now." This is a very dark place to be in, but it's a reality of life. You just need to keep pushing through. You can't let the voices in your head win, you have to keep your mind occupied on things, that will make you feel better.

Lost on thought sometimes, and seriously getting a rejection from someone you like is really hard. But we can get by with it as long as we choose not to dwell on it too much.

These are common hardships that surround so many people in one or two ways, but we should learn to cope with every situation. Only the ones who are living without family, friends, and love can depict the intensity of these hardships.

That is definitely a hard one to live without family, friends and love. There are people, who live like that and I feel sorry for them.

You are welcome. Yes we can get over anything and the key thing to do that is to close our past. Whatever happened to us we have to let it go.

Yep and that is one of the hardest thing to do.

Feeling lonely or depressed. I am not sure if I am really feeling this one, but I always feel like I do not want to do anything. Just wanted to stay at home, lie in bed, and disappear. But that was months ago. Good thing, I got to overcome it with the help of people around me.

Good people around us can definitely help us overcoming these feelings. I experienced the same thing.

Finding ways and moving forward, that's what I am trying to do right now. Problems along the way get harder to deal with. I have to be stronger than I am yesterday to defeat it. I believe that I can do it even sometimes I feel like quitting.

It is always a way to move forward. The hardest thing is to find the way how to. I am sure you can do it.

I agree with much of what you have written. Only at the end you say that as we get older we feel that we can no longer have control and that depresses us. I think life teaches us as we get older that we have no control over anything. For example, when I finish helping my son with his studies I will feel satisfied and now I will be able to dedicate myself to me. And that excites me. I have fulfilled my purpose and now I am going to live another stage.

Yes that is true. With age we get more experiences and knowledge, that we can pass on to our children, that makes us satisfied.

If I mighy be really specific, these are what i experienced among the seven: Lack of love (friends) because even they don't show it, I know I am the least favorite, I am aware.

Getting Lost in Thought , because I am always like this, I guess overthinkers has this as their main skills 😂

ANew Set of Skills to Master, look at me wantimg to know more about crypto and related stuff, but still can't get my hands to it. LOL

Feeling Lonely (though not to the point if being depressed), because it's common. I think even the happiest individuals on Earth have their own lonely moments.

Yes loneliness has different stages. You can be happy and lonely, but not for long term.

I have experienced in several. Definitely one of the ones that hurts the most is being rejected by a loved one. If you love someone and that person is not reciprocated then you have a big emotional problem. That takes time to fix. It is very hard when you are in a situation like this.

I know and you are not the only one. Unfortunately these hardships are there in our lives, but we can cope with them if we can. We even have to accept some of them.

Luckily they happen in a good percentage in adolescence. Later we find a love for life in many cases.
