This is over for me. I just read @NamotoSakatoshi's letter and it has led me to make a decision I have been putting off for years. I am not willing to tolerate deception for a second longer. I'm going to exchange my BTCs for BCH in the next few hours, when the BTC network at last confirms the damned transactions and finally my coins hit the exchange.
Now that I've made the decision, I can't understand how I could have been so stupid. Why did I hold off for so long? It's been years since I realized that BTC will never be P2P money for the world, because those who are in charge don't want it to be. But I've been in this from the beginning because I want there to be P2P money for the world, not a phantom store of value that can't keep the value it lacks, something that has become a simple Ponzi scheme.
I became a libertarian thanks to Bitcoin but only now have I realized that I wasn't quite a libertarian yet. Because we libertarians are not the kind of people who sit around waiting for things to happen, we are the kind of people who make things happen. Boy, do I regret not having understood that before. Do I regret that so many people didn't understand it before.
Goodbye BTC.
It took me a long time as well
