Thunderbolt
Happy new month folks. This hopes to be a good month for everyone. Fortunately, many young people will find true love in the month and many will be infatuated too. So, do not fall for a cheap sugar coated mouth as many boys, even girls are out to seek victims they will feed on, do be in their list.
This month made it exactly ten years when Sandra felt the pain of heartbreak. She had been a good girl, a church girl if you like it. She was a chorister in her school fellowship and the leader of the evangelism team. More often, she leads other brethren to visit newcomers in their hostels to keep them and to increase the number of congregants in the fellowship.
Every morning, she would take a walk across the university sport complex to pray. There were other spiritual inclined students who came there to pray too.
Some semesters ago, some students complained to the university authorities that some students praying in the hostels, especially praying aloud, do disturb their sleep or study. Hence, the authorities banned loud prayers in the hostel as they referred to it as noise pollution.
As Lynda recounts her experience at the sports complex, which had been turned to a praying ground, many cases presented to the Almighty at this place usually get prompt attention.
One of her many miracles was that of one of her lecturers who wanted to get down with her. He told her in the open:
You won't graduate from this school if you don't get down with me.
The message was so direct. Lynda could read between the lines and knows what the lecturer is capable of. She had no other option than to present the matter before God during one of her prayer sessions at the complex.
A month after she had prayed, the lecture came begging, asking that Lynda forgive him. In the end, he surrendered and gave up his many atrocities with female students in the university.
This news soon spread across the university as the lecturer was now seen attending fellowship and other programmes to become grounded in the faith.
During her second semester examination, when she was in her semis, Lynda was accused by non-academic staff of cheating during an examination. She was so dazed that she didn't know what to say about the accusation. Well, since she had no skeleton in her cupboard, she concluded her exams after working very hard.
It was the Easter break. As Lynda prepares to go home for the Easter celebrations, she receives a letter inviting her to the panel set up by the university authorities to look into the exam malpractice case.
While the panel was still sitting, the committee members asked several questions which Lynda answered without any fear
A free conscience, fears no accusation.
The panel could not hold anything against Lynda and that was the beginning of winning ways for Lynda. She graduated with the best results though not without a scar that left her broken.
During the final year, her project supervisor gave her another threat. Ordinarily, Lynda is such a beautiful lady that can sweep a man by foot through her charming looks. Dr. Alex wanted just a one night stand with her by Lynda proposed in her heart never to allow any man touch her until she is married.
One evening, as she went to submit the corrected piece of her project to Dr. Alex, she met a crowd, mourners and wailers. He is dead. Dr. Alex is dead. And reports have it that he was hit by a thunderbolt. And this happened on Valentine's day.
The lady in question was not known and never showed to describe what had transpired between late Dr. Alex and her. It was on February 14th.
