Rest: Man's Problems Are Endless

Problems and humanity are synonymous. People of ages past have tried very hard to solve the problems that evolved during their time but ended up dying, paying the biggest price and yet the problems linger.

Yes, problems must be tackled headlong. That is the essence of humanity and life. We ought to find a place for life too in our struggles to find lasting solutions to the many problems of humanity. Funny enough, the source of the problems that humanity faces is humanity itself. When one problem seemed to be tackled another one resurfaces, for the sake of humanity. 

Live first before solving a problem. Do not go to bed without solving at least one problem for each passing day. In your quest to seek the technical know-how to bring a problem to its feet, be sure to have some rest.  Rest is very important. Else, man will die, leaving the so-called problem to the living. 

Dr. Jin left his home in the morning after dropping his kids at school. He works so hard at the general hospital. Most times, he returns home late at night. This was the vow he swore as he was inducted into the league of medical doctors in his country and homeland. Saving life gives him joy. 

This same morning, after bidding his kid goodbye, he drove off towards the hospital which is about twenty minutes drive from his children's school and about forty-five minutes drive from their home. 

Few minutes after leaving his children's school, he received a call from the emergency unit of the hospital of a little girl who was brought in unconscious. She had been raped by a sixty years old man. 

What a world? How could an old man that age stoop so low to defile a minor?

Dr. Jin kept wondering as he drove towards the hospital. It is really a dangerous world. 

There was a crowd in the hospital premises of men and women who had come to witness how the girl would survive this trauma, first by coming alive from her deep sleep. 

The doctor asked that the people give so e and allow the team of doctors and nurses concentrate on how to bring the little damsel back to consciousness. 

There were other health cases at the hospital too but this particular rape case had taken over the jaw-jaw of everyone around. 

Several hours later, the little girl came to consciousness. Until then, the doctors kept her under a close watch. 

Another call from the police station came to Dr. Jin. A lawyer had gone ahead to bail the old man who raped this little girl. As serious as this case was, how a legal practitioner put his career on the line because of stipend he would be paid. 

Again, Dr. Jin asked the hospital legal adviser to stop the bail from being granted. You know the case with the Nigeria police, they may take a little bribe and release a criminal. 

As he made the call, Dr. Jin also went to pick his wards from the school so that he could drop them with their mother at home and return back to the police station and back to hospital. 

After dropping the children, he just pecked his wife at the door and returned  to the car, driving towards the police department. That was the last thing he remembered. 

Dr. Jin reportedly slumped as he climbed the stairs at the police station. Now, he became the victim because he was trying to solve the problem of humanity, caused by humanity. 

He has spent over seven days in his own hospital, under the watch of other doctors. A doctor who ought to give directions on how people should take care of their health is now a victim. 

My POV

Do not kill yourself while trying to fix man's problems. A lot of people depend on you to fix one or two things. Your family likewise looks up to you. 

Dying young is an additional problem to the already existing problems. Hence, live first before solving a problem. 

Rest is one way you can help improve your health. So, do have enough rest. Do the work you can do with your best and leave the rest for another time. Work doesn't finish. If you complete one now, another one will rise.
