You might have come to a crossroad sometimes in life. Those times when you are left with no other option than to accept fate. And out of the many troubles you are going through, all that you could think of is to take a stroll to ease your mind from depression.

That time, you start to think that there could be another way out. Then, a friend comes around to give you a set of numbers to go play a bet. Something you have never thought of.  It Sounds strange but you thought of giving it a try. Just like this man who was just having a second thought to his life.

Ijebu was taking a stroll around the street alone. The only hope he had was to move around, at least to enjoy the free gift of life, breeze. So, he wore his knickers and stepped out. He was not actually looking for anything. He just wanted to be free. His mind is occupied with a lot of agitation. Ijebu just wanted some fresh air.

The evening sun, mild, large, and yellowish like the yolk of an egg, had appeared in the clouds. As he was walking, enjoying the frenzied atmosphere, he walked across the lawn to the adjourning street, and he saw a beautiful damsel, Amah.

Hello!! You are beautiful like the appearing sun.

Amah looked at Ijebu with disdain.

Can I help you?

He laughed foolishly at her and said

You? Help me? No no. I should be the one to help you.

Amah doesn't seem to understand Ijebu. He sounds so confident in his voice but he does not look like someone serious. He was only wearing knickers with common slippers.

She ignored him still and kept waiting for her driver to appear. But Ijebu persisted.

My lady, let me help your ministry.

This time, she laughed at him. Then Ijebu laughed back and began to psyche her.

See the yellow sun. The half that was written by Chimamanda Adichie is with me

Now it's getting serious, Amah thought. She thought this guy must be reasonable anyways. To have mentioned half of a yellow sun is an indication that he is a reader. Ijebu went ahead to mention to her

My name is Ijebu. The only good man remaining on earth. I can do anything for a beautiful lady.

Amah laughed harder. She is beginning to like his person.

Ok. Ok. I like the fact that you are humorous. My name is Amah. She spoke more about herself and said she would love to host him one of these days.

This made Ijebu blush. He was not expecting such a response. As he was getting excited about his luck at shooting at a beautiful lady for the day, Amah's car arrived.

Now she requested for his phone so she could call her number but Ijebu's phone was far away at home, charging.

He however got a slip from his pocket and got a pen from Amah's driver and wrote his phone number and handed it over to Amah. She promised to give him a call, then her car zoomed off.

Still in excitement mode, Ijebu's friend, Shaggi came to him and told him he won his lottery.

This is supposed to be double joy for Ijebu but it turned sour. The winning ticket was what he used to write his phone number to Amah.

Now, he has been waiting for Amah to call him and it's been five days. Ijebu kept vigil while waiting for Amah's call but it never came.

What a fate. He could not reach Amah and she would not call him. This ticket will expire in seven days. It was his only opportunity to escape poverty and now he was found to lose it.

The seventh day came and yet Amah never called him. It was traumatic but Ijebu accepted it as his destiny. As he was going out to look at what he could eat, he came across Amah, close to the spot where he saw her the first time.

In a nutshell, Amah jumped at Ijebu to show that he had missed him, despite pretending not to have flair for him at their first contact. Today, all her wealth has been transferred to Ijebu. The same man who he'd thought would remain poor for a long time.
