Hardship is Our Calling

Hi readers and a happy new week. I use to draw a to-do list every week. Over the weeks, many of my expectations have never been fulfilled. First, some of my designed procedure does not meet the standard for completing the process, hence it becomes a stumbling block. One thing that just kept me going is the hope that all things will be well with time. Time is a factor that no man can control. As such, I believe that whatever I don't get now, I will get later. With that life goes on.

My concern here is not about how to have a successful week, it is that through the week, you may come in contact with hardship. In our current standing, we should not be deterred by evidence of failure. Anything that is not stressful is not worth it. Before gold turns out pure, it goes through the refiner's fire. The fire purifies it. For humans, fire is the hardship a man must pass through to get the desired shape he wants.

The story beneath shows a man who has a well paying job but still came in contact with hardship.

A senior clergy who is in charge of the church in a particular city in Nigeria saw that many young ministers in the church were idle, they were just filling up the numbers. Though, they have been very effective in the running of the local church. As ministers, they were up and doing.

After one year of being in charge, he decided to transfer some of the young ministers to the field, even to remote villages.

Effiong, an engineer with the Centre for Space Transport was transferred to a typical village as the pastor of a new church. He was so devastated that he contemplated leaving the church to concentrate on his career and family. Effiong went to the Pastor in charge to complain about his job and family but met a brick wall.

After much consideration and prayers, he accepted to resume at the village as pastor. It was stressful combining the work of a pastor, engineer, and husband. He continued steadfastly to combine the work.

Seven years on the jobs, Effiong received Dr. Tobi who had been away in the United Kingdom. He came home for the December festivity and decided that he wants to build a church in his community. Tobi has made up his mind on this issue and there is no going back. One thing led to the other, Effiong received a visitor in the church on a Sunday morning while the workers were still praying, expecting members. As usual, after the worker's meeting, the other members welcomed Dr. Tobi, they never knew what his mission was.

After the church service, Tobi requested to see Pastor Effiong.

Good afternoon pastor, Dr. Tobi greeted me.

Thank you, my brother, Effiong responded.

I have come to help build this church on a hectare of land. And give you an official car for you moving around. Then, also a coaster bus for the entire church.

Effiong was amazed. You don't mean it.

Work will begin immediately and the papers of the land will be issued to the church.

Dr. Tobi left Effiong's office fulfilled after a word of prayer.

Effiong could not believe what just happened. After all, the pastor in a charge posted him out of the church in the city because he loves him and wants him to grow and not because he hated him.

When he looked back, the suffering of attending to his job as an engineer in the space center and as a husband, he spoke to himself and said:

All is well that ends well.

The place of hardship in our daily living is to be prepared for the task that is set before us. As an individual, it is very cogent not to forget that when tough times come, what is required of us is to keep working assiduously and hope to surpass what it is that is confronting us. Consider these thoughts whenever you are going through challenges.

Hardship Will Expire

Tough times never last but tough people do. This experience that looks funny would soon pass. Why must we compromise our stand knowing this truth?

You Have Overcome Before

If you consider the fact that you have escaped turbulent times before, it doesn't mean that challenges will not rise again. What matters is that this too will soon pass away.

Its A Learning Process

When you are faced with a problem or challenge, ensure to find positivity in it and learn. This is to give you an insight to living as you walk through life.

You Are Wired To Confront Hardship

The Biblical Job is one man who stands out for me in the foregoing topic. Let's ensure to role out our faith as we stand tall to confront the hardship.

No pain, no gain. Hardship is a phase of life that fades away with time. There will always be challenges on our path, we should be prepared and ready to overcome them.

Word, brother! Of a truth, if there's no pain, there's no gain. One's got to sweat to have it sweet in the end. Or if it's the other way round you want, you're going to have it sweet now and sweat later in the end.

We all would go through hardship but one thing is that it will not make us weak but strong when we face it and believe that all will be well in the end.

Yeah, hardship is the process that make us in God's hands. Except we die to self we cannot live again. We must chose to become nothing for God to make us something.
