From Geography Class To Cairo
Humphrey had never been this patient in class like he was today. Geography must be one subject he loved and no one can say why. Today, Mr. Bright was all about how the Egyptian Pharaohs hid huge amounts of precious stones around the Sahara deserts not far from Cairo.
He took down every detail in a jotter. No distractions will be entertained today, Humphrey had decided. Several winks from Tony, his closest friend in the class, would not make him get distracted. Tony wanted him to make some fun of the funny names Mr. Bright had mentioned. He did not oblige him until after the class.
On getting home later in the day. He told his older brother who had a clique with some very ambitious friends how kings in Egypt had hidden precious stones in pyramids and tombs in the desert area of Egypt.
Humphrey was so inquisitive that he had to read up more works on the burial sites of past pharaohs of Egypt. After he had gathered enough information, he gathered his ever-ambitious friends to design how to storm desert and find a life changing pot of gold.
At first they weren't really sure how to go about it, but after much thoughts they decided to set out on a journey with the intention of finding a treasure which could change their lives, not for the money but for the fame.
Being from a wealthy home, Humphrey together with friends got all they needed for the journey in the space of a week and they embarked on the journey to Egypt.
They were able to find the desert with the help of a geographical map.
It became a journey in futility when they saw the expanse of the desert and didn't know how to start their treasure hunt. Dave asked Humphery:
You should be able to read this map since you are a geography student from onset.
With his big eyeball, Humphery looked away and replied him:
It sounds easier in the geography class than now.
They laughed over his gestures and returned to the business why they had come all the way here. From their standing point, there is nothing they could see or lay hold to as evidence of what had been studied in the class.
Out of frustration, Dave asked the team to return to the park so that they would be on their way home. That was the best decision to take as far as Dave was concerned.
They have walked a few metres when Enoch hit his right foot against a meat already covered by the grains of sandy soil.
The attention of the other boys who had moved ahead of him were called and they started to dig. It was easy to dig up the metal because the soil was freer in nature because it texture is mild.
They dug and found that the metal had been locked up for quite a long time. It is the end of a tunnel and no one knows where the tunnel.
Manual picked up a club and broke the lock, and together, all the boys lifted up the heavy tunnel cover. One by.one, they refused to go into the dark tunnel.
As they kept contemplating what next step to take, a loud metal clanging sound emerged from inside the tunnel. On hearing the sound, Humphrey shouted saying:
Run for your dear life.
Everyone took to their heels. Perhaps, none of the knows what it takes to do treasure hunting. They ran so far that the tunnel exit point could not be seen again. They breathed heavy when they stopped running ten minutes later.
Josh was talking as he was gasping for breath.
we had better abort this mission already.
The party started walking upland only to discover that they have missed their way. And to make it a worse case, all their water jars are empty.
They were all exhausted and it beginning to get dark even though it is just about 4:00pm. Again, Humphrey told the party that this is a sign of bad omen. An hailstorm is raging from the east. He taught them how to stay safe when the sand dust come rushing like rain of water.
Enoch was beginning to get worried more than anyone is the party.
Now they could all see the dust up in the sky. And it's getting closer. They all knelt and covered their faces with sack clothes as the sand dust blew across where they stood. They storm raged for over twenty minutes and stopped. All the boys were covered by a heap of sand.
Dave asked them to dust off their faces and walk towards the setting sun. After a walk of about thirty minutes, they got to the city of Cairo and from there, back home.
Enoch and the other ambitious boys vowed never to be over-ambitious in life again.

They were so lucky to survive the hailstorm. To say the fact some amount of ambition is good to encourage ourselves but you get to face the consequences when you overdo. I think this will be a lesson for them.
