Exuberance

The police blasted the emergency siren through the streets as they drove at high speed towards the location caller. 

A neighbour had put a call across to the police, seeing two kids fighting with weapons that looked like a machete. She couldn't stand as no one could come between them to put a stop at the fight. 

With the siren drawing nearer, the kids separated themselves and ran to different directions. Barry skipped the fence to the adjoining street while Maleek ran into the basement of their house. 

Then, a chase began. Some officers followed Barry by scaling the fence while two trace Maleek into the building. It was a hot chase.

Barry seems to know all the nooks and crannies and terrain of the hood. He ran faster and scaled many hurdles without stress. But the police kept chasing him. 

He headed towards the abandoned warehouse. As he ran past, the hooligans who were at the warehouse, smoking weed and betting on poker ️ cards took to their heels. They scattered in different directions for safety from the police. 

At this time Barry was not in sight but gunshots were heard. The police had to apply the use of their weapon since the first shot didn't come from any of the officers. 

The main culprit that was in chase, Barry, was nowhere to be found as he had vanished in the middle of all the confusion. 

When two officers busted to another street, Mellin Mouka street, the haven of the high and mighty in Marina, two masked men were seen hiding behind a door in a big building. 

That's the home of the popular basketball player, Iverson. 

Officer Shawn announced. 

They wondered what the problem could be. It looked like the masked men were out on a mission. Either to kidnap or rob the building. So, the officers decided to watch from a close distance.

Now, the gamblers who were on the run and Barry had become a temporary forgotten issue. The officers are constitutionally bound by law to avert crimes, and that is what they are doing. 

The other group of officers who went in pursuit of Maleek had already apprehended and taken him to the police department where he narrated what happened and how it  translated the brouhaha between the two of them. 

At the other end

One of the masked men pulled out his gun as a house-help emerged from the main building. As frightened as he was, he screamed but he was overpowered by the two masked men who calmed him and asked him to lead them to his boss. 

Iverson is a rich basket player who also has a big company where sport kits are produced. He has two sons and a daughter but he was very disciplined. 

Shirley is Iverson's first child and daughter. She is in college and wanted her father to buy her a car but Iverson would rather get her fares for a cab to take her to school and bring her back home. When she saw that her dad was adamant, she stopped getting the money to buy herself a car by crook. She had to engage criminal minded boys in her class for the deal to rob her dad at gunpoint. 

Officers Shawn and Molley followed the two masked men and before they could do anything silly, they were arrested. They retrieved the toy gun they had on them and off to the police department they went. 

At the point of their confession, they mentioned Shirley as the contractor to her father so she could buy a car for herself. 

Iverson was so shocked that he left Shirley with the police for the law to take its course. 

Shirley was taken to a correctional facility where she is to be counselled and taught some morals. 

The two criminal minded boys were placed on parole. They are to do community service for six months under the close watch of the police and department of social works.
