In general, animals that are considered dangerous will be shunned by humans, because these animals may bite or injure which can cause infection and other dangerous things. But apparently, there are animals that are dangerous, but have a healing effect.

From one side, these dangerous animals are avoided, but on the other hand, these dangerous animals are also used for the wound healing process in some cases experienced by humans.

Curious what kind of animal it is? Let's look at 5 dangerous animals that can heal the following:

1. maggots

People with diabetes generally experience sores on their hands and feet in the form of ulcers that are difficult to heal. The problem is that the wound can progress to gangrene and sometimes force the patient to amputate.

Researchers from the University of Hawaii, Honolulu also found a way to heal wounds caused by diabetes using maggots.

First, the doctor will remove the infected or dead tissue with a scalpel or enzymes (debridement), then 50-100 maggots of the Lucilia Sericata species are attached to the patient's wound and left for two days.

This procedure is repeated up to an average of five times. The maggots secrete a substance into the wound that liquefies the dead tissue and then swallows it.

The combination of cleaned wounds and other substances in the maggot fluid allows the formation of granulation tissue, a type of connective tissue that forms during wound healing.

2. Tarantula

The protein present in the venom of the Chilian Rose tarantula has the potential to treat muscular dystrophy. In patients with this disease, the muscle fibers are damaged so that muscle function is impaired and progressively weakens.

But specifically, the protein from this tarantula will help slow down the process of weakening its muscle cells. The benefits of tarantula venom were discovered by scientists from the University of Buffalo, Frederick Sachs, PhD.

Although treatment with this venom has not yet been tested in humans, this protein has been successful in helping mice with muscular dystrophy regain strength in early trials. At least based on experiments conducted by Sachs, this protein can help overcome the condition of muscular dystrophy in humans.

3. Leech

Diseases that are mostly cured by leech therapy are coronary heart disease, heart failure, heart leakage, heart swelling and migraines.

Leeches commonly used for therapy are Medicinalis leeches taken from certain forest areas that are still considered sterile or Medicinalis leeches that have been bred.

In this therapy the process is to attach 2 leeches at the points that are the center of the disease for half to an hour, then the leeches are removed and the patient will be given herbal concoctions to support healing.

When the leech is attached, the leech will secrete mucus which is useful for regenerating nerves, removing dirty blood and curing disease.

4. spider Phoneutria Nigriventer

Initially researchers from the US and Brazil found the fact that men whose penis was bitten by a Brazilian spider (Phoneutria nigriventer) felt excruciating pain but their penis also experienced an erection for several hours.

The most venomous spider from Brazil (Phoneutria nigriventer) is mostly found in South and Central America. This type of spider is known as the most venomous spider in both regions.

Then the researchers took the venom released from the spider's bite, isolated it and purified it into a type of venom Tx2-6 and injected it into mice suffering from hypertension and erectile dysfunction (ED) at a certain dose.

Researchers then measured levels of the toxin Tx2-6 in the rat's penis and it turned out that the toxin was able to make the penile tissue in the rat's penis contract and relax. The content of nitric oxide which functions in the erection process also increases in the penis.

5. Honey bee

Recently a team of researchers from France and Greece discovered a local anesthetic contained in the body of bees. The compound, named 2-heptanone (2-H) can be used as a local anesthetic for animals and humans.

May be useful.

I remember people selling leeches in a bottle in the past. Nature has an amazing system. With some poisons, it can also contain healing.
