Merry Christmas from my family to yours!
Christmas is just right around the corner and, some decorations were already around the roadside of Roche Caiman roundabout. It was such a good walk checking the Santa Claus which, my baby called "Father Christmas" and ran everywhere.
What was funny to me was our moment back at the car because apart from his funny spider man shirt that looked so big on him yet, he doesn't care at all, at the same time told him I am also spiderman (woman) he doesn't agree with what I had said, insisted that I am a pink Power Ranger instead. Somehow when you are trying your best to communicate with your baby in their level of understanding can make the conversation more fun than ever.
It is one of the best moments I have had with my baby being a first-time mom knowing that he is more talkative and can agree or disagree with me at the same time, I was not able to prepare myself at nearly three years old, he has more conviction of what he wanted to do and on what he thought he knew. Sometimes his knowledge and on how he does things at home surprised me to the hilt.
Our Sunday fitness trail walk was shifted into taking pictures because this is Sage first Christmas in Seychelles. His first Christmas holiday was in my country whereby he had the chance to make memories with his grandfather for the first and the last time. I was a bit reflective documenting this video knowing, that my baby enjoyed those simple decorations yet, when his around eight months old, he had experienced more lightings back in the Philippines wherein his Lolo (grandpapa) Adonis had the opportunity to cuddle him and, they had taken a picture together
Sage first Christmas in his own country is special because he can enjoy those simple decorations and still found delight running, walking, talking and jumping around. The beauty being a toddler is able to experience joy, and as a parent, I couldn't be more grateful.

I was just talking to my cousin online and we spoke about mom life, career and anything under the sun until it came to a point of me traveling again...hahaha as I told her, the best way to keep a WIFE/MOTHER be in tuned outside her comfort zone is to be FINANCIALLY INDEPENDENT.
She asked me whether Patrick allowed my travel and I simply replied, well I can book my own ticket so whether he said no, there's nothing he can do. I OWE IT TO MYSELF in the first place. Of course discuss it with your significant other your travel plans and stick to your goal of going away anyways lol...
On the other hand...this VISA is representation of my FREEDOM! )FINANCIAL and PERSONAL! I am so grateful that my friend who is an Immigration Consultant at Gateway Visa Solutions made it possible for me to acquire this visa prior to my flight. I am still 3 years in the process before getting my Seychellois passport and until then I can visit 146 countries with which I can enjoy visa upon arrival. TOILET SIGNAGE?
well for others who are so keen with "symbols" it would be easier to identify which "headquarter" you should go when necessity calls for it.
But on my case? The very first time when I came to Seychelles and we went to Antonio's Cove, an Italian who loved to make his place full of "symbolism" just like the TOILET, I had a very awkward moment.
Well in this case, it happened again that when we had a good relaxing moment at the Botanical Garden, darn another symbol was shown at the "visitor's toilet" but this time around, I won't be fooled.
Have you guys had any similar experience when you visited FIRST TIME in a country which has a very SYMBOLIC way of showing things? Share a picture of it and explain a bit.

Just because it was on SALE it doesn't mean you will BUY it specially if the item is DEPRECIATING in value.
This necklace was on SALE at H&M! I took that longest queue just to buy this item back then because I was so engrossed on its design. I had the money, so I told myself I deserve to buy it. I never bought items that were not on sale anyhow unless if I truly wanted it just for its perks.
As I was reflecting NOW how this accessory ( actually had lots of them that I haven't even worn anymore when I came to Seychelles because I don't feel like wearing it all, I've realized how I wasted not only monetary but the TIME that I invested with these items. It may be on SALE but still quite pricey.
I had this moment in my life whereby DELAYED GRATIFICATION was not part of my vocabulary specially with my first 6 months in Doha, however I have learned my greatest lesson that when it comes to DELAYED GRATIFICATION, it is best to truly wait and ask yourself whether you authentically NEED it? will you die without having it? if not, then delay for a while. Don't buy on impulse.

I think the highlight of our weekend bonding was when we went FIRST TIME fishing. After we took a brisk walk at the shoreline of Beau Vallon, where there were lots of tourists on the beach, we decided to go back to the main town and stopped by at the Flag pole area where we took some pictures of the Christmas lights and a hut of Santa Claus with a Coca Cola.
Then Sunday came...
Patrick decided to take his fishing equipment and, I thought he was joking when he said he would go fishing instead while Sage and myself would do our activities.
I couldn't stand for two hours waiting for fish. I did my on walking, jogging and playing ball with our baby on the other side. Exactly, two hours that his dad called us and excitedly showed us what he caught that day. One small and a big fish! From the video, while we're still waiting for Patrick's catch, Sage happily sang his favourite song, " daddy finger, where are you!

He celebrated his first Christmas in the Philippines whereby he doesn't have any idea at all how it all went through!
Now he's more curious at how the Christmas celebration goes with anything flashy yet he still needs to figure out who the hell is Santa Claus!
Our financial mentor said that MONEY is behavioral meaning where we spend our money dictates how our future holds. My biggest "spending" is my AREIT investment ( shopping for it on a regular basis to accumulate volume for my shares.)
On the other hand, this holiday that I booked for myself alone is very crucial to my self-growth. I have come to a point in my life whereby after all the savings and the investments I did, it's high time to reward myself with this overseas trip. I made sure by checking all aspects that I don't over spend and computed based on what are essentials for my family, my holiday trip is what I am looking forward too.
I spend my money not mainly for value-depreciating items but solely for my LIFE EXPERIENCE, this is one the core quadrant assets I can boldly say I am spending twice in a year. Besides while computing for my expenses, still it's a green signal of at least 40%.
Shopping online takes a lot of mental and financial discipline much more emotional.

I never opted to shop online with items that were depreciating in value rather I bought SHARES of my stocks or my crypto however there were times that I bought something which was way affordable than going to a facial spa and paid more than the fair price itself.
Pampering myself includes DIY facial rejuvenation/ exfoliation better at home. It's more economical and practical as well.

My bags were packed yet I'm not ready to go!
This was the hardest moment when I felt like going back to Seychelles was the hardest because our 12 days in Abu Dhabi was just all I needed to reflect and to be myself!
I would always have a penchant for the Middle East lifestyle because the desert enriched my expat's way of living, teaching me self-disicipline and be goal-oriented!

Sage's idea of hide and seek is to cover himself with a blanket whereby I would pretend that I would be looking for him. The room gets so messy because apart from the blanket, he would tell me to cover him with all the pillows available.
He learned new skills at the Childminding when it comes to playing and many other things such as identifying a particular "dinosaur" which he called Tricetops and his famous "amblilance (ambulance) transport.
Likewise on a Saturday since his daddy is at work we decided to walk from our place to a nearby beach and along the way he enjoyed looking at the Bus passing by. He would eventually shout and say, "mommy Bus Tata! look"

Realizing how I need a TIME OUT FOR MYSELF especially this Christmas and New Year gives me a very EMPOWERING vibe FINANCIALLY, SPIRITUALLY and mostly EMOTIONALLY....
This trip that I booked is a big deal not only for the ExpoDubai 2020 ( by the way as I have shared before should you fly via Etihad Airways or Emirates you would have a complimentary ticket and if you stay in Abu Dhabi there's also a FREE BUS RIDE, very convenient right?)
Anyhow as I was sharing, this travel is what I needed because for 6 years I haven't travelled alone. We always went out overseas as a family but this time around, as part of my journey towards #WomenEmpowerment, it is very crucial to be truly, genuinely and authentically FINANCIALLY INDEPENDENT.
