Unstoppable Bitcoin Cash!

Rolando Brison, a member of the parliament of St. Maarten's island-nation of the Caribbean, has recently announced he is accepting his wage in Bitcoin Cash.

He also went a step further as he is also examining the adoption of Bitcoin Cash as legal tender in this Caribbean nation.

Bitcoin Cash was already rising in the Caribbean, and those that follow the credible news sources in the crypto field did not ignore Bitcoin Cash.

Marc Cuban slammed BTC maximalists a few months ago, referencing the rising adoption of Bitcoin Cash in the Caribbean Region.

Sometimes it is better even for maximalists to take notes when some people speak, as ignorance costs and leads to serious errors in judgment.

It seems the Caribbean will be green soon since St. Maarten won't be the final hotspot for Bitcoin Cash adoption.

Merchant Adoption in the Caribbean is Exploding!

The move by Roland Brison to accept his salary in Bitcoin Cash is not similar to US politicians doing the same with BTC. Simply because these politicians have never used BTC and don't plan to do so either.

The BTC adoption proceeded only with custodial wallets and centralized exchanges or services.

The Lightning Network suffers from inherent centralization tendencies, with regulated financial hubs taking control of transactions. The LN structure combined with forced custodial adoption transforms BTC into a CBDC. The years of development did not take utility into account, thus LN today is not a reliable network, failing to provide user-friendly and meaningful "means of exchange" features to BTC.

This is one side of crypto adoption as legal tender.

Meanwhile, close to El Salvador, an MP from a Caribbean island nation found logic in Bitcoin Cash and will now try to RECOGNIZE Bitcoin Cash, since its adoption rate in the Caribbean is rising significantly.

Bitcoin Cash is pure P2P Electronic Cash.

A permissionless, trustless, secure, reliable, and fully decentralized digital cash is going to become legal tender in St, Maarten. It won't be with custodial wallets like in El Salvador, but P2P.

It is people that recognize the merits of Bitcoin Cash and the government of St. Maarten will follow. Not the other way around.

It is faster to transact with Bitcoin Cash than the traditional payment networks, and the cost of transacting is virtually zero.

Rolando Brison adopts and promotes the non-custodial use of Bitcoin Cash with direct P2P transactions. No third parties, no intermediaries, and no forced adoption.

The differences between El Salvador and St. Maarten are obvious.

There is no Chivo fiasco in St. Maarten (with custodial government controlled LN wallets). There is no regulated private company creating and controlling the infrastructure of remittances and payments.

The crypto adoption will be P2P.

This is not forced regulation but a government RECOGNIZING Bitcoin Cash as an alternative payment method to the dollar.

Some clearly don't understand the difference because within their years in crypto they probably never actually used BTC, Dash, Monero, Bitcoin Cash for anything else but to sell for fiat.

Being paper-handed and a fiat enthusiast is not going to help you at all.

Related to the above, Rolando Brison gave a new hint, since it seems the adoption of Bitcoin Cash will not just stop in St. Maartens but will expand throughout many more island nations of the Caribbean!

The adoption of Bitcoin Cash can help the prominent tourist destinations of the Caribbean.

Curacao is another popular island located north of Venezuela. Besides its tourist attractiveness, it is also a hub nation for licensing online gambling websites, so it has a different significance that could bring multiple positive effects for Bitcoin Cash.

Voluntary adoption of cryptocurrency is its inherent quality and goal.

In Conclusion

Bitcoin Cash doesn't pick sides. There is consensus and throughout my crypto experience, I have never witnessed such overwhelming support and devotion to the cause by any decentralized community in this approach.

When I revisited Bitcoin Cash by the end of 2020 (after the ABC fork), I researched the BCH community again and found only leadersnot egomaniacs claiming to be leaders while threatening and abusing their popularity, as in the past. Contrarian threats to consensus are limited today and confronted correctly (ignored) by the community.

I found only intelligent people with a serious and professional approach, with principles and knowledge of Bitcoin.

The reason I joined/invested in Bitcoin Cash and started writing at read.cash was the professionalism that characterizes this community which inspired me with confidence.

Those that put their ego aside, and produce or offer services on top of Bitcoin Cash, work with great odds of achieving success.

The World Bank Group’s goals are to end extreme poverty and promote shared prosperity. This mission underpins our analytical, operational, and convening work in more than 145 client countries. For almost 25 years, extreme poverty — the first of the world’s Sustainable Development Goals — was steadily declining.

If here in Philippines they would offer BCH payment salary I would be happy but I have one question Pantera. How about the volatility? Will it affect the salary they will received?

That is a great news for them and also a great step to the forward. I wish someday in our region that is accepted and I will be able to share the knowledge I have got in last two years. I am eagerly waiting for that great day in nearest future.

You have earned some BCH from read.cash. If you know any merchant, shop owners, professional, you can ask them to accept Bitcoin Cash. If not you can talk to your friends about BCH, help them download a mobile wallet and send some to them. Only then you and them understand the power you hold.

However, if you only use a centralized wallet like binance or coins.ph, or anything else that is used in your region, you will fail to understand the usefulness and power you have. BCH is money you are in control, but only if you use it the proper way: When you control the private keys.
