Developments in Bitcoin Cash are constant.
SmartBCH (previously called Moeing) is expected to open a whole new world for Bitcoin Cash development in the field of DeFi and Dapps. SmartBCH is EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) and Web3.0 compatible, meaning users and developers will be able to access the SmartBCH sidechain using web3 wallets like Metamask, and other decentralized applications.

I had some experience recently with the RSK-mainnet, which is a BTC sidechain with the same philosophy as SmartBCH. RSK mainnet has enabled DeFi on Bitcoin with the use of rBTC, which allows utilization of Web3 applications. I've tested a DeFi platform called Sovryn and it is still at early stages but promising for the DeFi space on this BTC sidechain.
SmartBCH is bringing a sidechain upgraded with changes Ethereum2.0 will have three or four years later. Sidechains will be used more often for all blockchains and will be further developed to provide a bridge of interoperability between different blockchains.
I am confident that SmartBCH will attract some of the top developers and will create a secondary use case for Bitcoin Cash.
Decentralized finance and applications require blockchain-connected platforms, smart contracts, and tokenization. While there are plans to introduce native BCH tokens in the future, smartBCH allows this now, at an initial test phase, for the time being, being compatible with EVM and Web3 Dapps.
