How To Promote Affiliate Links On Your Blog?

There are several ways to promote affiliate links on your blog. You may probably know a few of them or all of them. In this article, I will go through those methods. So let’s start.

1. Product VS Product Post

Product comparison posts are working very well. People are always confused when they have multiple choices on similar types of products. So you can clear the picture for them with your insightful comparison post.

Most of people are having to intend to buy when they are seeking for comparison posts. This kind of post converts higher and increases your possibilities to get more affiliate commissions.

Create in-depth comparison posts that cover all the prominent points of those products. And insert your affiliate links on your blog, that redirect your readers to the product’s merchant site when they clicked on the link.

2. Product Review Post

A product review post covers all essential information about the product, and these kinds of articles are a monster for every blogger. That converts pretty well for most of the bloggers.

You have to create an honest, insightful, in-depth, and informative review article that covers all the prominent points of the product.

Writing only good things about the product isn’t a good strategy. It looks like a sales page, not a review. People are looking for an honest review, not for a salesperson. You have to mention all the downside of the product too.

You can use pictures and videos in your review article if your affiliate vendor gives you those stuff as promotional resources.

3. Instructional Post

This is kind of post, where you teach peoples about a specific product, and sure, it’s your affiliate product. When people purchase the product or have the intention to buy the product, then they look for this kind of tutorial articles. Which teaches them how to use the product properly.

So it’s an excellent opportunity to promote your affiliate links on that blog post, and eventually making affiliate sales. Create a How-to post that provides value to your readers.

As an example – suppose you write an article How to create an Email sequence autoresponder with GetResponsethen GetResponse is the affiliate product you’re promoting.

4. Add Affiliate Links Into Blog Post

This is a great strategy to adding affiliate links within your blog article’s text. You just need to do is hyperlink your affiliate offer on your blog post context, and you are good to go.

Many people don’t like to see promotional kinds of stuff, on a blog, they think you’re trying to sell your products in your blog. But adding your links within the text is never disturb your those kinds of readers.

For example – I’m using Bluehost as my hosting provider, and WordPress as my blogging platform.

So, promote your affiliate links into your blog posts, but don’t go crazy with this. Add your affiliate links where it’s necessary, except filled up your blog article with your affiliate links.

5. Add Banners Into Blog Post

This is one of the ways to promote affiliate links on your blog. You just have to do is copy-paste some HTML codes and VOILÀ. Banners come in different sizes, and it seems like ads.

You can use those banners into your blog posts that relevant to articles. Do not put too many banners on your blog post, because people don’t like blogs that have too many flashy advertisements. Be gentle with your affiliate banners and ads banners also, insert where it suits, and use a minimal amount of that on your blog post.

Below an affiliate banner showing up, you can check that by clicking on it.

6. Use Your Blog Sidebar

The sidebar of your blog is the best place to promote your affiliate links on there. Blog sidebar is the place that is showing up on all your blog posts. So you’re missing a sweet spot of blog for affiliate offer, if you’re not utilizing it.

Use your blog sidebar for promoting your best affiliate offers, and make sure that’s relevant to your blog nichenot to your single blog post. Because anything you put on your blog’s sidebar, that is displaying on all of your blog posts.

So if your sidebar affiliate offers are related to your individual or few blog posts, then it’s useless when people read your other blog posts.

As an example, if your niche is email marketing, then consider promoting on your sidebar, Email marketing tool, Funnel building tool, Online course, etc.

People always attract with discount offers. I mean who doesn’t want to save their money on product purchasing? And if you have an affiliate offer that provides you to promote that product with a discount, then your chances are pretty much high to get conversions.
