Daily Devotion. Good morning fam✨ Today's devotion was taken from Luke 17:6 (NIV) ⁶He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you. This shows the power of our faith when aligned with God. We are the branches and He is the vine, so without Him we don't work, our faith doesn't work😃 Here Jesus talks about the power of faith. He likened that faith which could move a tree to plant itself in the sea as small like a mustard seed. This tells us that if our faith is strong and we are inclined with God, we can move mountains💪🏽 Let's pray🙏🏽 Heavenly Father, you have assured us the power of faith, we ask that you continuously strengthen us that our faith in You will be unflinching. Amen🙏📿 Have a nice and blissful day. I pray the faith you have with God or Allah by your said everything you will do will forever prosper. Please don't forget to share, subscribe, like and comment. Thank you. Love You All Be encouraged 📿❤
"Never Loose Hope" Life at times is very challenging and difficult. At times you even wonder why you are alive. You feel like you've got nothing to gain anymore in life. Whatever you try to do just keeps on failing and failing day in day out. Your dream to become someone important to your society in the near future seems to fail and at times to try to resort to quitting your reason for being alive. You try many other ways of achieving the same dream but nothing seems to work. Everything you do never brings an income into your pocket and your family is also struggling with hunger and poverty. To everyone out there facing these problems, I have something to tell you. There is a proverb in my local dialect that says and I quote, **"The tortoise does not rush to walk"**. This simply means that in life we don't rush to do things. The book of Ecclesiastes in the Holy Bible states it clearly that there is time for everything. Your life may look messed up, your life may look unrepairable, your life may look damaged, yourlife may look disgusting but my brothers and sisters out there struggling with life I encourage you to NEVER LOOSE HOPE. Because there will surely be light at the end of the tunnel. The Sun will surely shine at the end of the storm. Just believe and have HOPE that with God on your side everything will be alright. Life may seem to drag you anyhow it wants to but you must be strong and stand firmly on your grounds and declare that nothing can be an obstacle to your progress in life. For with HOPE and God being on your side, everything will be absolutely good. "IF LIFE GIVES YOU A THOUSAND REASONS TO QUIT, PROVIDE IT A HUNDRED THOUSAND REASONS TO SUCCEED AND PROGRESS IN LIFE". I hope this changes the lives of our loved ones out there struggling with life and our loved ones out there trying to quit. It might be your time now but trust me with God and your Hope strongly alive, everything will be absolutely fantastic. And remember ****"A dream achieved is absolute joy to the achiever".**** Please don't forget to share, subscribe, like and comment for more. Till we meet again, I Love You All. Be encouraged ❤📿

Daily Devotions Be careful who you listen to Subscribe Like Comment August 23, 2020 “The Lord gives wisdom.” Pr 2:6 NKJV What are the people in your life telling you? Are they increasing your self-doubt or strengthening your faith? Just because people tell you something doesn’t make it so. In 1492 the people surrounding Columbus thought the earth was flat. The “experts” examined his travel plans and said his idea was impossible. But Columbus didn’t fall off the end of the earth as they predicted—instead, he discovered America! Along the same lines, Thomas Edison tried to persuade Henry Ford to abandon his fledgling idea of a motorcar because he was convinced it would never work. He told Ford, “Come work for me and do something worthwhile.” Although Edison was a great inventor, it sounds like he was only positive about what he could do and rather pessimistic about what others could do. So the next time you get in your car to go somewhere, be glad Ford didn’t share Edison’s negative outlook about automobiles. Don’t let someone else’s limited thinking limit you. Negativity is contagious; you have to pay attention if you don’t want to catch it! Even if you’re the only positive person in your family, be the one with an optimistic outlook in every situation. What we call “common knowledge” often is commonly wrong! “The Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.” Have the people who are telling you “it can’t be done” factored God into the equation? If not, pay no attention. Instead of listening to people who increase your doubts, listen to the people to whom God has given wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.
"A Dream Achieved is Absoulte Joy to The Achiever". A dream come true is always joy to the achiever. Just imagine going through this whole life without no dream or something you would seriously like to achieve. This is like just hopping into a public transport without knowing where it is going to. Your life will be totally meaningless and messed up. In life you choose what you want to be and you work hard towards it. And always remember you set the goal so you are the only one who can achieve it for yourself. And let God be your top priority and no one else. So I encourage you all to encourage yourself. Even if you see that the goal you want to achieve can not be achieved easily, still set it because nobody knows tomorrow. The reason you might want to change your dream might be monetary issues, parental influence, illiteracy, poor education system at your palce, poverty or broken homes. But I encourage you to never give up. Nobody thought of Abraham Lincoln becoming President of USA due to his background but he became. So my advice to everyone out there is to never give up on your dream. Work hard towards it and with God as your guardian everything can be achieved successfully. Do not allow depression or peer influence to over take you off your dream. "A dream achieved is absolute joy to the achiever". I hope you enjoy it. And don't forget to share, subscribe, like and comment for more. Be encouraged ❤📿

Precious Rose(Season 1) INTRODUCTION Love, pain, jealous, witchcraft, supernatural powers, sacrifices all come to play in this romance thriller. Bloodshed is a common practice as every other maiden compete for the ultimate prize which is the heart of the crown Prince, Sphamandla. Being the love of the Prince means being the future Queen, who wouldn't want that? The question is, does the Prince's heart want to be won? Nomthandazo is a loving, obedient, hardworking and a beautiful daughter of Bab' uMahlangu and MaNkonjeni who treat her like a Princess despite their background. Nomtha is determined to help her family out of poverty by securing a job but with no luck. Nomtha is the complete opposite of her elder sister Snegugu. Unknown to her, she meets the sought after Prince Sphamandla. When she realizes she's been dining with the prince, she's shocked and at the same time scared of how other maidens will react to the news. How will meeting the Prince change her life? ******QUOTE****** "No relationship is all sunshine, but two people can share one umbrella and survive the storm together." ******SEASON ONE***** *****Chapter 1***** Sometimes in life we envy other people lifestyles, wonder why God chose our very own family out of all the families in the world, country, neighborhood to be from a poor background. We question Him of being unfair but he knows why he did that. Our blessings are delayed because ours are a special order and takes time to prepare. ****AT THE MAHLANGU HOUSEHOLD**** It's a very beautiful early Monday morning, MaNkonjeni is already up and cleaning her yard. She does this everyday despite having two full grownups daughters. Bab' uMahlangu is busy trying to fix his scooter. The motorcycle is what brings the food on the table at the Mahlangu household, it would be of great disappointment and sadness if he is not able to fix it. What will they eat if they all stay at home looking at each other. "I sent these girls to school with the hope and faith that one day they were gonna come to my rescue. I now regret ever sending them to school." Bab' uMahlangu curses still busy with the spanners. "Good morning, dad. It's not good for your healthy to be cursing and regretting your decisions this early in the morning. Besides, all hope is not lost, don't lose your faith dad." Nomtha kisses his father's forehead. "What do you know about health issues? You should be busy looking for a job not trying to lecture me, I'm your father young lady." He continues with his work. "I will find a job, I promise." With that said, she disappears into the kitchen to help with the cooking and cleaning. Nomtha is very hardworking person, always trying her best to make her parents' burden easy. She knows it's going to take a lot more than just helping with the chores and giving them words of encouragement. What her family needs is money then all their troubles will be history. She's been up and down trying to find a job with no luck but she's hopeful. She's not the kind that gives up every time things don't go her way. "Good morning, Maa." She greets her mom as soon as she enters the kitchen. "Morning sunshine. What are you preparing?" MaNkonjeni takes a seat in one of the kitchen chairs. "Sour porridge. Almost done. Want some coffee?" She asks already pouring the coffee in her mother's favorite mug. She knows what her mom wants and needs all the time. "Call your father in so he can have his porridge while its still hot." MaNkonjeni sips her steaming hot sugarless black coffee. "Let me set the table first then I will call him." Nomtha is running around setting the table. "I don't know why you even bother calling him inside, he doesn't deserve to eat anything. What kind of a husband, father makes only $2 the entire day?" Snegugu pulls the chair, takes her mother's already served coffee and helps herself. "Sne, what is wrong with you? Please, show some respect. Dad is trying his best to feed all of us but you never appreciate his efforts." Nomtha defends her father like always. "Mtcheeew! Tries his best my foot!" She spits the coffee. "What the f-----" "That coffee wasn't meant for you but since you are too lazy to even pour yourself coffee that's in front you, serves you right." Nomtha takes the cup away from her, pours the remaining coffee into the sink, washes it and pours her mother another cup of coffee. Sne is that child that you pray to God and ask Him why He gave you a curse instead of a child? MaNkonjeni is always in tears because of her. Bab' uMahlangu has given up on her. Nomtha is the one who still hasn't lost hope and patience in trying to mould her sister into a better person. Will she succeed? "Mom tell your daughter to find a job. We can't be starving and eating like slaves when she has a suitcase full of certificates." Sne takes out her packet of cigarettes, she's about to light the cigar when her father snatches away the lighter. "Not in my house Snegugu!" He snaps. "You call this a house?" She laughs her irritating piercing laugh. "Sne!" Nomtha can not bare to see her parents troubled by her. "Say another word and I will forget that you are my sister. I'm sorry mom, dad." MaNkonjeni can't keep holding her tears anymore, it's too much to keep on holding in. Tears fall freely down her cheeks. "Zandi darling, I know how you feel about Sne, please stop stressing and upsetting yourself." Her husband comforts her, she cries even harder. "Hush, it will all be fine." Seeing her distraught mother, Nomtha hugs her tight and says nothing. She can't hold her own tears, it breaks her heart to see her mother so upset. Abruptly, she turns and goes to Sne's bedroom. She pushes the door without even knocking, Sne is busy putting on her makeup. "What is wrong with you, Sne?" She ignores her, Nomtha snatches her eyeliner. "Are you crazy? Can't you see I'm busy?" "Don't you dare give me that shit! What has come over you? You always make mom cry, you are not even bothered about it. What kind of a daughter are you?" For the first time in her entire life, Nomtha is genuinely angry. "What? You can't talk now? If you continue like this I will forget that you are my sister. Mom and dad are doing so much for us, the least you can do is to show appreciation and respect." "Who died and made you madam speaker?" Sne tries to snatch the eyeliner from her. "You really need divine intervention." She sighs. "Are you trying to say that I'm a lost cause?" She feigns to be sad. "Sne, you are my only sister I love you but you leave me with no choice. Most of the times I feel like you want me to choose sides----" "And you are choosing your useless parents over me?" Sne blurts out. "First of all, our parents are not useless. Secondly, I will never choose between you and them. Come on Sis, we're family. We are supposed to be united not against each other. I love all of you, for my sake, please try and be good daughter, please." Poor Nomtha, always begging her older sister to behave herself. "Okay. Stop preaching I have to be somewhere in a few minutes, now can I have my eyeliner back?" She smiles melting Nomtha's heart. "Yeah. Where are you going?" She probes. "Somewhere you wouldn't want to be." "Fine. Behave yourself, don't do something I wouldn't do." Nomtha cautions, Sne laughs out loud. "Who is the older sister here, you or me?" She asks still laughing. "Whatever." Nomtha rolls her eyes and leaves. The two sisters can be on each other's throats one minute and understand each other the second minute. They have that sisterhood bond that only the two of them can understand. MaNkonjeni and Bab' uMahlangu have tried to tear them apart thinking that Sne will eventually corrupt Nomtha's mind but to no avail. Nomtha is just a sweetheart, all she ever wants and prays for, is for her family to be united like before. **AT THE ROYAL PALACE** The maids are busy with their morning chores. This palace has like......twenty or so maids. They are always busy walking up and down, in and out of the house, I wonder if they ever rest or sleep at all. Ntombikayise the only daughter of king Melusi Tshabangu and Queen Clementine is sitting in the garden. She has her Apple earphones on, humming along whatever song she is listening to. On the table in front of her is a tray which has all sorts of fruits and a glassful of mango juice, she picks up the glass, sips the juice but quickly spits it all out. "Maids!" She screams, they all come running almost tripping over. "My Princess." All of them are now standing opposite her with their heads bowed. "What in the hell is this? Huh!" She throws all the remaining juice on them. They flinch but say nothing. "What? Have you all gone mute?" Must be nice being a Princess, now these poor maids have to guess what has upset her so much. "That was mango juice My Princess." Samkelisiwe the only maid in the palace who seem to still have her voice says. "You call this shit mango juice? Is this how to prepare fruit juice at your house!" Kayise is fuming. "Maybe if you tell us what's wrong with it we can understand where your anger is coming from." Samke continues to defy the princess and that makes Kayise even more angry to an extent of slapping her. "How dare you talk back to me?" She's enraged. "Everyone has a right to voice the----" "What's going on here?" The Queen briskly walks towards them. "Mommy they saved me a shitty juice and they are all claiming it was pure mango juice, I don't even know where they got that cheap awful tasting thing." She shouts. "Who among you prepared the juice?" Asks the Queen. "I did My Que----" A hot slap lands on Zodwa's cheek. "Don't you ever serve my daughter cheap things, she's royalty not a commoner like you who eats everything thus edible!" Those words hit hard on my chest and penetrate through my heart and soul. Zodwa is in tears, I too would be in tears if I were her. No one chose to be a commoner, if we all had to choose our lineages I'm sure we will all be somehow of royalty. "Get out of my face! All of you!" They swiftly turn and leave. "It's okay honey, I will personally prepare something for you." She smiles. "No. It's okay mother I will manage the fruits, besides I have an appointment with my beautician in a few minutes, I have to get ready. Thanks for the offer, anyway." All of a sudden she's smiling, what happened to her anger? "Do you need some money? Or anything?" Clementine asks her spoiled brat. "You know I hate carrying cash. A bank card will do." Without hesitating, Queen mother opens her purse and hands her a debit card. The maidens are blaming Samke for everything that just happened. They are also trying to comfort Zodwa who was at the receiving end of the Queen's hand. Sbu, the younger prince walks in the kitchen, makes his own sandwich, pours himself some coffee and sits on one of the kitchen stools. Upon seeing him, other maids quickly return to their assigned work. "Heeeee, the sun must have risen from the West today! Prince Sbu and coffee?" Samke exclaims and claps her hands. "I have a serious headache, please lower your voice you crazy maiden." He mumbles. "Hayibo Sbu, yimina uSamke (Sbu, it's me Samke) you know you can talk to me. Where were you yesterday?" She raises her eyebrow, lowers her voice so only Sbu can hear her. "Did you find yourself a desperate girl?" The nosy Samke continues trying to make Sbu say something. "I'm not telling you anything. If you keep persisting, our deal is off." He takes a sip of his coffee. "Fine. But you know how I like breaking news. Anyway, money is more important than whatever you were up to yesterday." She finally gives up. "That's better. Now, go and continue with your chores before my mother sees us together." She winks at him and leaves. **AT THE TSHABANGU ENTERPRISES.** "Wow mngane! (Wow, friend) this place looks like heaven." Sheila who's accompanying Nomtha on her job hunting exlaims. "The more reason why I haven't even bothered to try my luck. The building only, intimidates me." Nomtha sighs. "You are a brave and confident girl I've ever met, come on go and show them what you've got." Sheila encourages her. "I can only imagine how the workers of this company dress, the perfumes they use, what they eat for breakfast and lunch-----" "Stop. You have what it takes to work anywhere you want, class and fashion doesn't determine our destinies. Go and make use of those certificates, don't be like me. You know I was never intelligent like you thus why I even failed my standard level. Be thankful God gave you brains, use them." Sheila may not be intelligent like she says but she is a true friend. She's always there for Nomtha no matter the situation. "Thank you chomie." Nomtha hugs her tight. "Anytime." She pulls out of the hug. After some minutes still procrastinating on whether to get in or turn back and go straight home, Nomtha finally punches the open button on the elevator and gets in. Her friend waves and promises to wait for her. The elevator doors close, she's now alone on her way to either her success or another disappointment. She's silently praying until the elevator comes to a jolt on the 23rd floor, her heart is now pounding in her chest but soldiers on. She's come a long way to turn back now. "Good morning ma'am." Nomtha greets the lady behind the reception desk who in turn looks her from head to the middle part of the body, says nothing but scowls expressing her displeasure. "Good morning ma'am. I'm looking for a job if by any chance your company is hiring." The lady bursts into laughter. "Girl, what makes you think you have what it takes to work in this prestigious company?" She still has a frown but Nomtha chooses to ignore that. "I have an honors degree in Accounting and Finance and that makes me eligible to work for any company that is in need of an accountant." She says proudly. "Well then, this company is not hiring and even if we were hiring I'm sure we wouldn't be considering someone who has no sense of style like you." This lady? Does she have to be so blunt? I now feel sorry for poor Nomtha who is wearing her best outfit. "Ma'am, a company like this doesn't have to be run on sense of fashion. I understand the Tshabangu Enterprises is more into manufacturing and agriculture, my fashion sense has nothing to do with me looking for a job unless this company has somehow immediately turned into a fashion house." Nomtha humbly says. She's an angel but hell the girl can put forward some valid points. "We are not hiring. Just l----" "Aisha!" Someone calls out, the receptionist quickly goes back to her computer. ****NOMTHA'S POV.**** A tall, dark skinned, well taken care of guy approaches the reception area. He's wearing a suit that looks like its cost can cover all the expenses of my family for a whole year, not to mention his shoe.... "Hello Miss." He says, he has a deep voice and a British accent. "Hi." I wave still holding my files. "How may we help you?" He politely asks making that arrogant receptionist cough dramatically. "I came here looking for a job but the lady here has helped me. Thank you." I turn to leave but he pulls me back. "Is this how you have been looking for a job?" I nod. "No wonder you are still unemployed." "Not to be rude but I don't understand." I'm really a down to earth young lady but I react whenever someone tries to be arrogant or somewhat looks down on me. "Follow me." He orders. What? I do as he says. He opens the door, goes in, holds the door for me. "Come in." The office is magnificent. Everything inside is unique, the paintings on the wall are breathtaking. "Sit." He orders me to sit on the opposite chair. I'm still wondering why he asked me to come into his office when that lady said they are not hiring. "Sphamandla Tshabangu." He brings his hand forward for me to shake. "Nomthandazo Mahlangu." I say as I shake his warm and soft hand I hope you guys enjoyed reading it. Although it's lengthy. Thanks a lot for your time. Please subscribe, like and comment. @Marriam23 thanks for this opportunity. Be encouraged ❤📿
Lara's Faith(Part 6) Tony watched Lara as she tucked him bed. She’ve not been herself ever since she went to see her mother two weeks ago. No more TV cheerful-smiling Lara, the old Lara seem to be creeping back in place. “Good night.” she whispered turning to leave. “Lara?” he called out, just as she held the door knob. “Yes?” she didn’t look back. “Can we talk?” his voice was low. “Can’t wait till morning?” she asked irritated. “Please…” he sounded desperate. With a sigh, lara turned and walked up to him. “so?” she said crawling up the bed beside him. “Lara…” he began, taking her hands. She pulled away, he expected that too. “Errm, I just wanna ask if you’re alright? Ever since you came from your mother’s place You’ve been moody….errrmm, is anything wrong?” he said in a cool voice. Lara looked away. Why’s he asking her that? He cares? “I’m fine.” she sighed. “I know you are, but deep within you are troubled, talk to me Lara…” He said soothingly. She looked at him briefly, he doesn’t sound like Tony at all, did the illness change him? “Is there anything the doctor said about your health apart from your legs?” she asked. Tony felt his heart beat increase. “Your mother told you right?” his voice was faint. “she did, and I wonder why you never told me that…” she replied getting off the bed. “Lara…I just felt you shouldn’t know, I know it’l hurt you..” “It hurts more that I heard it from someone else…” her voice was rising. “I’m sorry, its just that….errmm…Lara please, understand me….” he looked confused. “Understand you? Of course you know Lara is daft! An Illiterate can never understand!” her voice became harsh. “No Lara…what I mean is that, I would be treated, and everything would become fine…” he tried to explain. Lara shook her head slowly. “Your legs will be treated not your ….your…your…Impotency!” she replied angrily. Tony’s eyes narrowed, he looked hurt. He wore a painful look that made Lara regret her words. “That’s not true Lara..its just that…that…some things got complicated…once my spinal cord gets back in place, I’ll normal again…” his voice was shaky. “Normal again? Were you normal before?” Lara made a face. “When you were busy sleeping around Sophia…have…have …you ever thought if…if…if…I’m human with needs?” tears filled her eyes. “This marriage is almost two years now..and…and…” sobs choked her. “Lara please, I know I’ve wronged you…but please…” he was crying too. “I guess you want me stay right? But how am I sure you aint trying to be nice just because you’re ill! I’m sure when you get back on your feet again; you’l become the real Tony, and I’ll no longer be Lara but a daft-illiterate girl!” Lara said angrily, before turning to leave the room. “Lara please wait” he called after her. But she left banging the door behind her. Tony stared at the door in horror. He knew he was doomed, should Lara decide to end the marriage. He was at her mercy. “God help me!” he clasped his palms in prayer. Maybe she was right, that if he gets on his feet, he might not regain his manhood! Perhaps the doctor lied to him? The doctor told him, all would be well… “Tony you are in deep mess:” he muttered fighting back tears. If Lara should leave him, he won’t survive it. He might lose his life, cos he was madly in love with her. Tony winced a little, he felt like easing himself, he had pressed the beeper for more than twenty times now but Lara is yet to show up. He wondered if she was trying to punish him, because on a normal day, she’d have cleaned him up and served him his food.. He pressed the beeper five more times but she didn’t come. He decided to help himself into the wheel-chair standing by his bed side. He pushed himself towards the bed’s edge, he took hold of the wheel chair and attempted to hop in. He lost his balance and almost toppled over… “Hey! What are doing?” It was Lara, he didn’t look back, he wasn’t sure if the scowl he saw yesterday was still there. “Errrm…” he tried to speak as she balanced him on the wheel. “Morning to you Tony…” she wheeeled him towards the Loo. “I was answering a call when I heard the beeper…” “Here…steady…sorry…easy…” were her words a she helped him into the the bath tub. “I’l be back in a jiffy” Lara said looking away, she could bear to see him unclad. Tony smiled, she’s too shy he thought. “I want you to stay…” he smiled revealing his teeth. “No thank you.” lara left the bathroom. ::::::::******:::::: “hmn Deji na wa for you ooo, that’s how you are ehn? The Exposition *🗓 Saturday, August 22, 2020* *You are the Light of the World*💡 Today’s declaration: *My life is a blessing to anyone I encounter*💃🏻 We being the light of the world, we have been put in a position that can’t be hidden; we’re just like a city on a hill.🔥Everyone sees us.😌 Now, our lives are supposed to be the light that will show people the way to God. Just as light shines on a path to show people the way, our lives must perform this same function—show people the way.😱 In the verse 16, Jesus told his disciples to let their light shine before men so that they (men) may see their (the disciples) good deeds and glorify God.🔥 We are to lead people to God by what we do, so if your life isn’t doing this job, then you have to check yourself.😐 You are the light of the world. Just like a city set on a hill. You cannot be hidden, so you must do well to lead people to the right path.🙅🏻♀️Don’t lead people astray by your deeds.🚶🏻♀️ Are you leading people to glorify God or not?🤔 *Today’s Scripture:* “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.” Amen🙏🙏🙏 Matthew 5:14-16 NLT Have a fruitful day🌱 Share to save a soul🌟 Don’t forget to follow us on IG: https://instagram.com/__the_exposition__?igshid=1021y2dx68mk7 The Exposition Team🌍 I hope you enjoyed reading and learnt something as well. My Top Ten Best Tourist Sites In Bangladesh and Some Likely Ones. Hello everyone! It's @Panda once again and I bring to you thirteen(13) places in Bangladesh which I think they are the best places to visit. You all know creating a list of the best places in a country is always bound to raise some debates when you are making the list in a specific order. Being in the tourism sector for some time now and visiting places and countries many times is why I think these are the best places to visit in Bangladesh. Let me know in the comment section if you agree or disagree with me, and have any suggestions for improvement of the list . 01. Sonargaon. Sonargaon was the old capital of the Bengal region during the medieval period. It was a mint capital beside Gaur. Although gone is the heritage of the old capital, there still are some interesting things to spend your day on in Sonargaon. The main attraction to visit in Sonargaon would be the abandoned Merchant City, ***Panam Nagar .*** Built on the colonial , this was a city of wealthy Hindu merchants to flee to India during riots after the partition in the subcontinent they intended to return someday, which never happened. Nowadays, this is a fully abandoned City with 52 houses built on a single street. Other attractions of the Sonargaon is the 15th Century Goaldi Mosque and the Folk-Arts and Craft Museum. This is my number one on the list of the best places to visit in Bangladesh and my very favourite of all which I wish to visit after COVID-19 is over. 02. Sundarbans Mangrove Forest. Sundarbans is the largest Mangrove Forest on earth and a United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization(UNESCO) world heritage site. Sundarbans is located between two neighbouring countries; Bangladesh and India. But majority of the Forest is located in Bangladesh. It is home of the last Bengal Tigers in the world and much other wildlife. The environment of this forest is tranquilizing and visiting this place could be a once in a lifetime experience. That is why Sundarbans comes as number two on my list of the best places to visit in Bangladesh. 03. Chittagong Hill-Tracts. Lara's Faith(Part 5) “Breakfast is ready…” Lara cooed as she helped Tony sit-up on his bed. He was watching her closely, she’s been supportive ever since he came back from the hospital. He had always imagined her paying him back his evils now that he’s defenceless, but she proved his imaginations wrong. He wondered if she had forgiven him, cos he’s not even asked for her forgiveness yet. “Hope you don’t mind me putting too much milk in your tea…the doctor said you should drink alot of milk o.” Lara smiled as she offered him a cup of tea in a saucer. “Thank you.” he said almost in a whisper. “Your toast is here, your boiled eggs, your potato chips, your fried plantains, your ….” Lara listed as she pushed a tray full of food towards him. “for only me?” Tony’s eyes widened. “Yes o! The doctor said you need a balanced diet!” Lara said Tony laughed, he never knew she had a sense of humour. “Eat up, while I get your bath water ready…” she quipped. “Errrm..Lara?” he searched her eyes. “yes?” she turned to look at him. “I…errm…I…just…wanted to say I’m sorry..for..for..all I did to you…I’m…” he stammered. “Oh please, don’t start! Stop those I’m sorry stuff!” Lara frowned. “I don’t..know….Its..just that…just that…I feel I’m not worth your kindness….” he continued. “Now, don’t talk like that, I hold no grudges against you..okay? Now eat up and take your bathe, you know your father would be here soon…remember you’re seeing the doctor today…huh?” she said sweetly. Tony held her gaze for a while before she looked away. She walked gently towards his bathroom. “Good morning sir!” Lara greeted her father in-law as she wheeled Tony towards the waiting car. “Hope you slept well?” Ifiora said as he helped Tony into the car. “Fine sir.” Lara smiled. “Errm…I’l be going to see my mother, she asked me to come over.” Lara told Tony. “Okay, then, see ya later.” he waved at her. She waved and watch them drive away. She suddenly wished Tony won’t ever get on his feet, atleast, so that he would continue to be nice. :::::::*****::::: “Mum you asked to see me.” Lara said with a frown, she was getting irritated by her mother’s silence. “Yes Lara, my daughter. Hmm.” funke said with a sigh. “So?” Lara’s frown grew deeper. “hmm, Lara omo mi, you know I love you, you are my only child…” Funke began meditatively. Lara laughed quitely, this woman didn’t call her over to tell her that. “Meanwhile, how’s Tony’s health?” Funke didn’t look happy. “They just left for the hospital this morning, he’ll be better soon, he’l be flown to Cairo next three months.” Lara explained. “Shey you know, his spinal cord was affected during the accident?” Funke said in a faint voice. “yes I know, that’s why he’s on a wheel chair, and he’ll be better soon..” Lara said impatience creeping into her voice. “Let me talk Lara and stop trying to defend Tony’s illness!” her mother shot at her. Lara fell silent, was she defending Tony.. “Lara you have to end this marriage.” Funke said carelessly. “Which marriage?” Lara’s eyebrow creased “Tony is not worth you! You shold file a divorce, you can’t hook yourself with a disabled for life…” Funke explained. Lara rolled her eyes. “Mummy what did you drink this morning?” she laughed. “Are trying to insult me?” Funke’s voice rose. “Noo…just that, Tony used to be your favourite.” Lara explained still laughing. “What I’m saying is that you must divorce Tony, you can’t saddle yourself with such a burden, this was a man who was maltreating you…” “ehen! Mum you are so incredible!” Lara interrupted her. “Where were you when he maltreated me? What did you do when he turned me into a punching bag? Aren’t the same person who rocked the boat of the marriage cos of money? You made me go through hell!” Lara said anger creeping into her voice. “Hold on! And let me talk!” Lara rose up when her mother tried to speak up. “Do I look like some commodity you can use to trade? Now that Tony is ill, you feel he can no longer fulfill your selfish needs, you want me to divorce him right? Perhaps you want to marry me off to someone else again abi?” “No Lara! I’m only concerned about you and myself! You must divorce Tony. I need a grandchild!” funke shot at her. “What has a grandchild got to do with Tony’s illness?” Lara fired back. “Tony isn’t only crippled, he’s impotent! The accident rendered him impotent!” Funke screamed. Lara stoped momentarily, what’s her mother trying to say. “I beg your pardon…what did you just say?” her voice was low. “oh yes! The affected spinal cord did not only affect his legs, it affected his manhood! Your husband can’t perform anymore!” Funke shrilled. “Perform as in how?” Lara couldn’t help asking. “He can’t make love to you! Can you go on like this? No se-x, no child bearing…no…..no…. Lara, try to understand me!” Funke explained. “Mum…you mean..you mean…” her voice trailed off. She felt sweat trickling down her face. “You see, my daughter, you can’t go on like that. Even if he gets on his feet again, there’s no possibility that he would be able to perform anymore.” Funke said triumphantly. Lara thought for a while, she began pacing up and down the room sweating profusely. She stoped abruptly facing her mother. “Well, Tony had never made love to me, so even this isn’t a new development..” she began to say. “Haaa! Lara please don’t do this o! I need a grandchild! You want your father’s name to be wiped off the earth?” Funke held her daughter. Lara smiled mischievously, she had wanted an opportunity to get back at her mother, this was a chance. “Well, mum, I don’t think you need a grandchild, if you did, you wouldn’t have made me suffer all I suffered. This is what you want, you must live with it. Continue to enjoy more money!” Lara sneered. “I need to leave now!” Lara picked her bag. “Lara please..” funke tried to hold her. “Take you hands off me!” Lara pushed her away. “I hate you!” Lara told her tears streaming down her cheeks. “You hear me? I said I hate you! I would never forgive you! You ruined my life…” Lara sniffed, before storming out of the house. I hope you guys enjoyed reading. Lara's Faith(Part 4) Errrmmm…Humbledbygrace…Bukky is a female o…errm… :::::::::*******. Tony knotted his tie whilst sipping some coffee. The night had been terrible, different night mares taunting him, he was awake 75 percent of the night. He ignited his car, and Lara crossed his mind. Her beautiful eyes that widens when she’s scared was all he could see. He’s been just wicked to her, only God knows the story she’s telling his father now about him. He changed his gear and sped on the highway. He knew his father won’t spare him, he would take the company off his hand, collect all he has and worst of all disown him. “Oh Sh*t!” he rubbed his eyes. He opened them lazily at first, then they popped out. A madman was standing on the road before him, just a few yards away. He couldn’t stop the car cos he was moving at a high speed. He expertly turned the steering wheel moving the car off the road. The car swerved beyond control, he muttered some quick prayers, he was sure he would die. The car somersaulted throwing him out through the window… :::::::*****: Lara giggled as she bit into her roasted chicken, she was having lunch with her in-laws. She felt joy surge through her veins, what more could she ask for? She felt loved by them. They were doting on her, most-especially her father in-law Chief Ifiora. “I taught your mother in-law how to cook o.” Ifiora chuckled at her. “well I taught him how to eat!” Amara said and they all burst out laughing. Lara watched them as they laughed, they looked so much alike; happy couples she thought as she smiled. “When I was a boy, I helped my mother in the kitchen.” Ifiora said with pride. “well that’s cos you liked it.” Amara replied. “Not at all! I was an only child that’s why!” he defended himself. “Hmm…Tony Is an only child too, but can’t make himself a mug of coffee.” Amara chirped cleaning her mouth with a napkin. Lara felt shivers run down her spine at the mention fo ‘Tony’, she saw her father-in-law cringe too. “Talking about Tony…” Ifiora’s voice became coarse. “He couldn’t even call or do something…he’s expecting me to call him right?” he shook his head. “I guess so!” Amara made a face. “Hmm, I’m going to teach him a lesson he’ll never forget!” he basked like a lizard in the sun. “Lesson? That boy is soooooo stubborn!” Amara said with disgust. Chief Ifiora’s phone rang loudly. “A strange number…” Amara said giving the phone to him. “Hello?” he listened for a while. “Yes you’re speaking with Chief Ifiora…” he listened again. “What?!” he rose to his feet. Lara stopped eating, she wanted to know what was happening. “Okay, okay, I’m coming right away!” He ended the call. “Darling get me my Jacket!” he told Amara. “What happened?” Lara asked quitely. “Oh, nothing really, just eat your food.” he forced a smile. “Ogini? What going on?” Amara appeared holding his jacket. He whispered something to her in Igbo, for once Lara wished she understood Igbo. “We need to go now! Lara take care!” Amara said throwing a scarf round her head. “Can I come with you?” Lara rose to her feet. “No..you just take care, okay? We’ll be back soon.” Amara said as she and her husband left through the exit. Lara sighed deeply as she heard them drive out of the compound. Definitely something is wrong some where….she fidgeted nervously. Lara folded her arms round her chest as she watched her mother in-law pack some fruits into a basket. “You’re going out” she said rather than asked. “Yes, but I’ll be back soon.” Amara replied covering the basket with a table cloth. “I’m coming with you…” Lara began to say. “No…” “I’m coming with you!” she said firmly. “Lara, you can’t come with me, okay?” Amara tried to soothe her. “Is there anything wrong? You’ve been going out now for the past one week, and…and… Or is there anything you’re hiding from me?” Lara said with a frown. “Now, Lara relax your nerves, okay. Stay back, I’l buy you something when I’m coming back.” Amara patted her. “Okay then…I’l be going back to my place.” Lara pouted. “Lara! You can’t…” “I can’t stay here all alone!” Lara began to cry. Amara sighed, she knew her game is up. She need to tell Lara the truth. But how would she start? Tony would be discharged that night. “Errm..Lara, Tony had an accident, he’ll be discharged today.” she said slowly. “Accident? Tony?” Lara held her chest firmly. “Yes, he’l be discharged today.” Amara sighed again. “I’m coming with you to see him!” Lara said huskily. “No…I’l drop you at your place instead, you’l see him later in the day, when he’s been discharged.” Amara told her. Lara felt her knee go weak, she prayed the accident isn’t that bad. ::::::::******** Lara toyed with her cornrows out of boredom, her mother-in-law had called to tell her they were on their way. She tried to imagine what Tony would look like, maybe he would wear a scowl, or perhaps bark at her. She heard the front door open, she stood up sharply, expectantly. “Welco…” what she saw made her Tongue stick to the roof of her mouth… Tony sat in a wheel chair, he looked so pale. Chief Ifiora pushed the wheel chair into the room. Lara looked on, she tried to speak, but couldn’t. Tony looked up at her, he held her gaze, his eyes full of regrets, sorrow and pains. Lara looked away, tears stung her eyelids, was it real? She asked herself. “Don’t cry.” Amara hugged her. Lara wept on her shoulder, she watched her father-in-law push Tony in his wheel chair towards his room. Tears blurred her vision. Was this the same Tony she saw few days ago? Now he is in a wheel-chair? She hugged her mother-inlaw and they both wept holding each other tightly. To be continued......... I hope you guys enjoyed reading it. LoveB you all. Lara's Faith(Part 3) Lara sat on the tiled floor, she pulled a bowl of hot water towards her, added some dettol, before dipping a face towel into the bowl. “Easy girlie…” she soothed herself as she massaged her body. It had ached her all night. “Ouch! Eeish!” she exclaimed as she pressed her swollen eye a little. Her door squeaked open, she didn’t bother to look up, she knew it was Tony. Tony stood for while watching her massage and press her body in pains. He felt his heart melt! So he was now a ‘wife beater’ ? “Good morning Lara.” He said gently. “ouch!” Lara exclaimed pressing a swollen part of her arm. “Errm….sorry…” Tony said squatting beside her. She didn’t reply, she continued her work. “Errm..Lara, I’m very sorry for what happened yesterday…” he began “Hmph! Did you brush your teeth this morning?” Lara covered her nose with her free hand. He felt offended, he exhaled sharply “I shouldn’t have done what I did yesterday…my anger took better part of me…” he was trying his best to sound gentle. Lara laughed quitely. He peered at her face, he wondered if she heard him. She applied some balm to her wounds before looking up at him. “So what now? You came to kill me?” she asked. “No…Lara I’m truly sorry for…” “Abegi! Spare those thrash talk! Go and meet your Igbo sister and leave me alone! Who are you trying to decieve?” she interrupted him. “Lara..” he tried to hold her but she pushed him away. Her hands moved to the bowl of water and Swoosh! She threw it at him- towel and all. Tony looked suprised, he surveyed his drenched office clothes with his eyes. “how dare you!” he shot at her. “Oh yea! I just dared you! Rubbish! Because I’m not an Igbo that’s why you are treating me this way shebi?” Lara rose to her feet. “Don’t you ever try that on me again!” Tony’s anger let loose. “So what if I do? You’ll flog me? Ehn? Answer me! Oshi buruku!” she clapped her hands. “You’ll pay for this!” he told her walking towards the door. “Mr Tony?” she called after him. He stoped holding the door knob. Lara walked slowly towards him, a smile playing on her lips. “Tony, I just felt I should remind you, that, the law of karma still reigns!” she chuckled before walking into her bathroom. :::::::::*****::::::: “Hello? Mummy?” Lara placed her phone on her ears. She knew what to expect. Tony has taken her report to her mother again. “Hello Lara? What’s this I’m hearing about you?” her mother began. Lara grimaced “So what did you hear?” “Lara! I want you to come over to my place now!” her mother ordered cutting the call. “Sure…just a few minutes, and you’l see your beautiful daughter with a swollen face and wounds all over her body!” Lara said to the phone, though she knew her mother won’t hear. She walked into her mother’s sitting room without bothering to knock. She looked around, the room was re-furnished. Even her mother looked furnished. “Good day mum!” Lara threw her bag at an armchair. “Lara? What happened to your eyes-your face?” her funke asked with concern. “Need to see some more?” Lara chuckled showing her wounds to her mother. “Who did this to you?” Funke asked again. “of course my loving, sweet, adorable husband!” Lara said sarcastically. “What?!” Funke was shocked. “Which one is ‘what’ again? Shebi this is what you want? Ehn? Are you suprised?, better save your suprised look till when they bring …” Lara said carefreely. “How could he do such to you? I’m sure something went wrong! Was it after you poured hot water on him?” funke said ignoring her daughter’s sarcasm. Lara laughed. “my daughter, its well, you should just go back home, I’ll call Tony…” Funke began to say. “not yet! I’m staying here for atleast two weeks! I need to rest, before going back to that dungeon!” Lara protested, before taking her bag inside. Funke watched her daughter walk inside. She picked her phone and dailled Tony. “Hello? My in law?” she listened for a while “yes! Please do me a favour, let Lara stay with me for like a week, please..” she lowered voice. “Okay thanks, God bless you!” she ended the call. ::.:::.::::..:*.:*;/ “Thank you” Lara said givng some naira notes to a cab driver. She took a deep breathe, and glanced around her. The magnificent church was standing before her. She had brought her case to God. She wondered if God would listen to her again. The last time she came to church was when her father was alive, she was ten yrs then… “Good morning sir” she greeted a man in security uniform. “Please is the Resident Pastor around?” “Yes, let me tell him you want to see him.” the security man replied before speaking into a telecom. “he said you should come in.” “Thank you sir!” Lara said before walking towards the church basement. She muttered a silent prayer before knocking. “Come in.” pastor Wilson said from within “Good morning Pastor Wilson.” she flexed her knee. “Morning sister…please sit!” Lara sat on a chair facing him, clutching at her hand bag. “You came to see me?” Pastor wilson asked. “Yes pastor, My name is Omolara Popoola..” Lara began. “Omolara Popoola? You mean Lara the daughter of late Deacon Popoola?” Pastor Wilson asked in suprise. “Yes sir.” Lara smiled. “Wow…how are you? How have you been?” he looked pleased. “Fine sir…” “God is great! You’re married now?” he gestured at her wedding band. “Yes sir,…that’s why I came…” “Is anything the matter?” Pastor wilson sensed all is not well. Lara told him about her troubles, shedding tears in the process. He looked touched by her story. “Its well, God is with you.” he told her. After praying with her, he gave her some Bible verses to read, before asking her to fast for just a day. “Sister Lara, If you must fast; your faith in God would determine how your answer will be.” he told her. “I have faith Pastor.” Lara assured him. “Not just in the mouth but from the heart…and mind you, you must go back to your matrimonial home!” he told her. “No…But…” she frowned. “You must go back there!” he said firmly. “Okay, thank you…” she didn’t look happy. “Take care Lara, God is with you.” he waved her off. ::::::::******:::::: Lara walked into her home, she felt nervous when she walked into the sitting room. “I thought you aint gonna come back.” sophia sneered. “I’m back!” Lara said, before walking into her room. She’s got no time to start quarelling with Sophia now, its almost time for her to break her fast. She was in a kneeling position, rounding up her prayers when she heard a commotion in the sitting room. She paused absent mindedly to listen…Sophia was quarelling with somebody…perhaps Tony. She ended her prayer in a hurry and tiptoed out of her room. What she saw made her jaw drop. “You have no right to ask me who i’m looking for!” Amara- Tony’s mother shot at Sophia. “You can’t walk in like that! This isn’t your home!” sophia fired back. Just then Amara noticed Lara’s presence. “Lara?” “Welcome ma.” Lara greeted her. “Who’s this uncultured woman? Your maid?” she gestured towards Sophia. “Errrm..”Lara began. “Sophia, meet …ermm..Tony’s mother, and errmmm, ma please meet, Sophia- Tony’s errmm…” Lara stuttered. “So it is true?!” Amara exclaimed. Just then Tony came back from wherever he went. “Mum? What are you doing here?” he asked suprised letting his breifcase drop. “What am I doing here? So what I heard is true? So its true that you’ve been maltreating Lara? That you even brought your mistress into your matrimonial home?” Amara shrieked. Tony bent his head, he knew he was in trouble. “So this is what you’ve turned into? A Dog?” Amara yelled. “I know what to do…I’m calling your father right away!” She threatened picking her phone. “No no no..please mum, don’t do that…I’d be in trouble if you call dad…Sophia is leaving right away..I’l turn a new leaf…” Tony held her hand pleadingly. He walked into the guest room, appeared carrying Sophia’s bag. “Sophia, leave now!” he shoved the dumbfounded Sophia towards the exit. “You too, go and bring your bag, you’re coming with me!” Amara told Lara who was silent. “But…ma…” Lara’s eyes widened. “I say go and bring your bag, I can’t leave you here with this beast! What if he murders you!” Amara shrieked. “Mum..please don’t take her away.” Tony pleaded. “Try to stop me!” she glared at him, dragging Lara out of the house; with her bag and all. I hope you like it. And please don't forget to subscribe, like and comment for more. Be encouraged ❤📿
Lara's Faith Part 2 “Ijoba Orun, lere oni…” Lara’s phone rang waking her up rudely from her nap. She squinted at her phone’s screen- ‘Mummy’ was all she could see. “Hello?” she said in a sleepy voice. “Iwon omo buru yen, what on earth is your problem?” Funke -her mother screamed into her ears. “Mummy, is anything the problem?” she rubbed her eyes. “Nonsense!” came her mother’s reply. “People use what they have to get what they want in life, is anything wrong if I give my only daughter out to a rich family?” Her sounded aggressive. Lara glanced at her phone screen again in terror, before placing back to her ear. “Mummy, If I did something wrong, just tell me…” she began to say softly. “Do I need to remind you of your deeds? You’ve become disrespectful, you no longer cook for your husband, you’re even threatening to leave your matrimonial home!” her mother queried. “But..mum…” “No buts, sho gbo? Rubbish! And let me remind you, don’t just come to my house if your husband divorces you due to your stubborness.” he mother shouted again. Lara bit her lower lip. “Mum….” the line went dead. She stared at her phone in silence, what kind of life is this? Tony had told her mother fake stories about her. How can her mother be this selfish? She pondered. “Hello…” Tony intoned behind her. She turned sharply, her eyes widened, how did he get there? “So are you ready to turn a new leaf?” he wore a mischievous smile. She pursed her lips, fidgeting at her dress. “Go make me a mug of choco.” he ordered walking out of her room. She swallowed hard, she felt her heart split. She ran her fingers gently on her chest. “It’s well, I’ll survive, somehow, anyhow, one day, it’ll be over.” she whispered to herself as she fought to keep back tears. :::::::::******** Lara wiped her hands on her apron, she pushed the flask of food away from her, before proceeding to peel some plantains. Tony had called her earlier, to make a meal for two, as he was bringing a guest home. Whoever the guest was? She shrugged. She began setting the table when the door bell rang, she rushed to open it. “Welcome” she said as Tony brushed past her. She turned to look at the guest, she almost mistook the guest to be a male. “Good day.” Lara said softly. The guest was wearing a trouser suit, she was masculine, her hair cut very low. If not for the earrings, she could be called a male. “Hy,” the guest said coldly. “Errm, Sophy, have a seat, make yourself comfortable..” Tony began to say. “Not so fast, won’t you introduce me to her?” the guest said with a low laugh. “Welll…okay…, sophy, meet my Illiterate wife- Lara, errrm, Lara meet my cutie pie-sophia.” he chuckled. Sophia laughed out loud. “Well Lara, I’ve heard alot about you…” she extended her hand for a shake. Lara shook her head in pain, she didn’t take sophia’s hand. She began counting her toes. “Errm, sophy darling, lets proceed to the dining area, I believe she should have set the table by now .” Tony led Sophia towards the dinning room.. Lara watched them from the corner of her eyes, her eyes stung her as tears rolled down her cheeks. “Hmm, she cooks well…” sophia said eating in mouth fulls. “Oh yes! And that’s the main reason I’m still keeping her, else, she should be in her parents house by now” Tony said loudly. “Oh sweerie, that was too rude…” Sophia laughed. Lara walked lightly into her room, she went on her knees. Is this real? She thought. She felt she needed to talk to somebody. Her mum was out of question, Deji isn’t in town for now. She decide to pray, though she doesn’t belive in prayers. “God…” she looked towards heaven. “I know you can see all that’s happening, do I deserve such treatments?” she sniffed. “I have no one to talk to, nowhere to go…you are all I have now…my father is no more…” she sobbed. “I heard you are a father to the fatherless, don’t forsake me O’Lord….help me dear father….” her body shook with sobs. She laid on the hard floor, she liked its coldness, it gave her some sort of comfort. Tony isn’t a human being…she thought. He is either a beast or the devil himself. He dared bring his mistress into their home…he knew there’s nothing she could do. “5 am!” Lara said as she rolled on her bed. She had been sleepless all night. She pulled her Bible, read some Psalms before saying some prayers of appreciation to her creator. She washed her face, and walked slowly out of her room. She decided to make breakfast early, so that by the time ‘the devil’ will wake-up, she would be safe away in her room. She walked past the guest room, Soft moans escaped the door. She stoped momentarily and listened some more. Where’s Tony? She tip-toed into his room. It was empty, no sign like someone slept there last night. She felt like mad as she rushed back to the guest room.. She heard Sophia giggling.. David’s grunts were audible now.. Yikes! He was making love to her, right inside their matrimonial home? She tapped the door sharply, the whole place fell silent. She knocked some more before Tony opened the door. Their eyes met, she held his gaze for a while before looking him all over. He was unclad except for the towel tied loosedly round his waist. “Tony?” she gasped. He didn’t look at her. He looked like he was making up his mind to do something. “Tony you!” her voice shook. “What do you want?” he cleared his throat. “Honey, I’m waiting…” Sophia called from the room. “What do I want? Tony are you supposed to be doing this?” Lara asked in fierce whisper. “It’s none of your business!” he snapped. “True! ” she swallowed hard. “Mind you, don’t ever come knocking this door again!” he warned sternly. “Okay…” she shook her head turning to leave. “But Tony? Have it in mind that my God will judge you…if not today…it’ll be tomorrow!” she told him before running back to her room. PS: This is the continuation of Part 1. I hope you love it. Lara's Faith Part 1 Lara gazed at her full length at the mirror; satisfied by what she saw, she smiled to herself. She smoothened the hips of her flimsy knee length gown, she loved her hips, its one of her greatest physical asset. “Hmmm can’t wait!” she told herself excitedly as she oiled her cornrows. She should have fixed a weavon or plaited some braids as her friend-Deji had adviced, but she isn’t a fan of those artificial stuffs, she preferred to go natural. “What’s lacking?” she asked her beautiful reflection. “Nothing more, just to wait for the man.” she chuckled. Tony, her husband, would be back home, after spending five good months overseas on his so called ‘business trips’. Their marriage was barely a year, and Tony has spent more than half of it travelling. She hissed. Their’s was an arranged marriage, she had met Tony for the first time on their wedding day. She remembered how harsh he was on that day. She shuddered at the thought. He had always gave excuses when it comes to making love. He had never touched her, not even a kiss… The door bell rang, interrupting her thoughts. “Yea baby! Time for action!” she said excitedly as she catwalked to the door. “Hey…welcome back home!” she said pleasantly as he walked in. “Thank you!” Tony mumbled. She tried to hug him, but he stoped her “Please!” he raised his hands. She swallowed hard, plan number one failed. Next plan… “Errmm, why don’t you take a cold shower? You must be tired after such a long journey…errmm, I’d be setting the table..so that errm…you can eat.” Lara said with a sweet smile. Tony ignored her, instead, he walked past her into his room. Lara followed him with her eyes. What was she gonna do, he still hates her this much. She sighed heavily sitting at the edge of a sofa. She was lost in her thoughts when Tony’s phone rang sharply. She stared at the phone as it vibrated on the center table, she was tempted to pick it but couldn’t, Tony had warned her severally never to pick his calls. “Hello Baby?” Tony said into the phone catching Lara’s attention. “Yea, just arrived few minutes ago.” he said again. Lara swallowed hard. Baby? Did he just call another woman baby? “No no no! That’s not true baby, you know I’ll miss you more.” Tony said again. Lara rose sharply, she felt her anger rose, this was a disrespect to the highest order. “Yea love, ama call ya later. Okay? Take care sweerie.” he cooed softly before ending the call. He turned to Lara who glaring at him. “Why don’t you get me my food, instead of you standing there like a palm tree?” he said scornfully. “Who is she?” Lara blurted out. ” ‘she’ is not your business i-diot!” He snapped at her. “Now move your bum into the kitchen!” he ordered. Lara walked quitely into the kitchen, she was no longer angry but scared. She was scared of something she couldn’t fathom. Well, she won’t give up, plan number three… “so do you like the food?” she asked as she watched Tony eat up his food in mouthfuls. “Your mum told me its your favourite dish.” she added not minding his rude silence. Tony coughed slightly, gulped down some water. “Please Lara, let me eat in peace! Do I need to choke?” his voice was harsh. “But..I…” she looked confused. Tony rolled his eyes. “I wonder why this illiterate girl can’t just let me be!” He muttered at the Bewildered Lara. “Can’t you gerrit that I don’t talk while eating? Didn’t your mother teach you table manners?” he asked angrily. “I’m sorry.” Lara mumbled leaving the dinning area. Tears clouded her eyes, she looked visibly scared. Tony watched her leave, he felt sorry for her. He shouldn’t treat her that way, he knew! But he just hated the marriage, he was forced into it by his parents. She was beautiful and lovable, but his anger has already taken over his heart. His food became tasteless, he hated to see beautiful girls cry. Lara sprayed some perfume on her skippy nightie, she walked to her mirror again. “Hmm yummy! Plan number four on point!” she laughed before proceeding to Tony’s room. She opened the door gently, she peeped first before walking into the room. Tony was lying down on the kingsized bed, the covers were drawn half-way stoping at his waist. His chest was bare revealing his ‘Six-packs’ features. She craved to touch, but that isn’t on her list. She came here to discuss something important-their marriage. She crawled beside him, his breathing was slow and steady. So this man can sleep?! She thought. She shifted closer to him, how would she wake him up? She felt like a rat trying to bell a cat. She touched his arm slightly and… Tony’s eyes shot open, his face transformed into a scowl. “Sorry to disturb you…” Lara said in a shaky voice. “What do you want?” he growled Lara’s lips moved but no words came “Damn it!” he sat up. “Can’t I sleep again? Can’t you gerrit into your brain that I need to rest? This illiterate girl is something else! Is s-ex a necessity?” he yelled at her. “No..I..was ..was…was..just…” Lara moved away from him terrified. “Get outta my sight!” he barked at her. Lara scampered out of the room full of fear and hate, she threw her self on her bed and wept. What would she do? She had tried all she can? Besides its not that she’s interested in the marriage too, but she had to do this for her mother. He called her an illiterate! She sobbed some more. She was definitely going to show him, Illiterates can go crazy to! She wiped her tears, wishing for sleep to come. ::::::***** The sun rays bathed her room. She glanced at the wall-clock, 7:30 am. She stretched lazily on her bed. She had her plans on mind, no more cooking till further notice. “Lara!” Tony banged her door. Devil! She hissed pulling the blanket over her head. “Lara!!” Tony banged some more, louder. Nonsense, are you hungry? She hissed again. “Lara?” Tony said walking into the room. She didn’t move, she remained motionless on her bed. “Lara!” he shook her roughly. “Uhm? Uhm? What is it?” she muttered pretending to be just waking up. He pointed at the wall clock. Her eyes followed his hand, then back at his face. “Ehen? So?” she asked with a frown. Tony felt like squeezing her lips “Are you daft or something? Don’t you know I’m running late for work? Where’s my breakfast?” his voice was fierce. “Illiterates don’t know how to cook!” She quipped, lying back on her bed. David glared at her, his eyes bloodshot He pulled off the bed angrily, throwing her on the hard floor. Lara shrieked in pain, she stood up to face him. “where’s my breakfast?” he barked “I’m fed up Tony! Did you hear me? I won’t cook in this house anymore! Go and get a girl with masters degree to cook for you!” She screamed at him. He charged at her, she didn’t move, she just stood there rooted. He stoped facing her, he brought his face close to hers “If you don’t cook in this house, then you should be ready to go back to your parents!” he told her. “Hehehehe! Wonder shall never end!” she clapped her hands eyeing him derisively. “This is an opportunity I’ve been waiting for..” she laughed. “Really?” he sneered “Yes o! Wait and see If I will not leave! Do you think you are the only man in the world?” she told him. Lara flung her wardrobe open, and started throwing some clothes into a bag. She started singing loudly. “I’m coming home, I’m coming home, tell the world I’m coming home…” Tony watched her for a while, before leaving the room. He chuckled as he walked to his car. This girl is crazy! He thought. He had to stop her from leaving, he suddenly felt he had a soft spot for her. “my oga, good moni!” Adamu- the gateman greeted him as he drove out. He beckoned to Adamu, who walked up to him smiling. “Errm, Adamu, do not let Lara out of the house. Make sure you lock the gate properly. Gerrit?” “Yes my oga!” Adamu waved at him. Atleast, he would stop her from leaving! Tony thought quitely as he drove away. I hope you like. And thanks for reading. Don't forget to also subscribe, upvote or downvote and comment for more. MONEY Hi everyone, hope you doing great. I'm back again with an interesting topic called "MONEY". What is MONEY anyway? Some may say money is the root of all evil, others may say money is everything and some may think of other meanings. But I know money to be a reward. How is MONEY earned? Money can be earned through many ways depending on how you earn yours**. This includes;** Investment. Inheritance Gift Characteristics of MONEY. Money must be durable Money must be portable Money must be divisible Money must be acceptable Money must be limited in supply and Money must be uniform Importance of MONEY. Money is used as a mode of payment for goods and services. Money is used as a store of value. Money is used as a unit of account. How to save MONEY. Money can be saved by keeping it in a piggy bank which most of us in my country 'Ghana' do and it's known as "Susu box" in Ghana. Money can be saved by depositing it in a bank which is the widely used method world wide. Money can be saved by investing it which my brother @Bestie did buy investing into Cryptocurrencies. Money can also be saved by avoiding impulse buying. For instance, we should avoid buying stuffs which we don't really need. Money can be saved by drawing up a budget, etc..... Hope you guys learn something from this piece of writing. Thank you all for reading. And a quote to guide you as well, "**A wise person should have money in their head, but not in their heart".** Be encouraged so that you can encourage others ❤📿

Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies Move Higher as PayPal Rumours of BTC Integration Grow. The cryptocurrency market has turned bullish in the last few hours. This is due to the fact that there were some rumours showing that PayPal could be working on a Bitcoin (BTC) and crypto integration on its platform. At the moment there are two job listings for crypto experts to start working for the financial company. Bitcoin Moves Highers as PayPal Rumours Expand In general, when rumours about large companies integrating crypto hit the market the crypto industry reacts in a bullish way. This is what happened with Bitcoin and the entire market when investors heard that PayPal could be working on a crypto integration. According to a job listing opened by PayPal, they are searching for a person that will be working on different initiatives related to market innovation. In addition to it, it requests the ideal candidate to focus on agility and market innovation so as to design crypto products and features that would improve the services offered by PayPal. There was another job listing promoted by the company in which they are looking for a blockchain research engineer that would work with the company’s Strategic Technology Enhancement team. They will be analyzing the blockchain and crypto market and understand whether it is going to be possible for PayPal to embrace blockchain and cryptocurrencies. The entire market reacted positively to the news. Bitcoin moved from around $9,350 to over $9,650 in just a few minutes. Now, Bitcoin is being traded above $9,600 and it has a market capitalization of $178 billion. Meanwhile, other altcoins such as Ethereum (ETH) moved higher by 3%. ETH, which is the second-largest virtual currency in the market surged above $241 and it has a market capitalization of $26.88 billion. This shows that Bitcoin remains by far the leader in the market. Furthermore, XRP and Litecoin registered gains as well. XRP, however, was the currency with the lowest growth in the last 24 hours expanding by just 0.20% to $0.188. Meanwhile, Litecoin moved higher by 0.52% and its price was able to surpass $44 per coin. At the time of writing, Litecoin is the seventh-largest crypto in the market with a price of $43.88 and a valuation of $2.84 billion. Now it is just time to see what PayPal is going to be developing and how it could help increase cryptocurrencies’ acceptance and use cases. Thank you for reading and please don't forget to subscribe, upvote or downvote and comment your opinions as well.🙏😊
