He is one of the most famous magicians in the world today by exhibiting magic at home and abroad. He was born in 1950 in Barisal. His fame spread in college life. After finishing his studies at Jagannath University, Jewel Ich concentrated on his work. Then he did not have to look back. He has been awarded many other honors including Ekushey Padak.
Recently, in the midst of his busy schedule, he appeared in the office of science thinking for some time. He was talking about the use of science and technology in magic. Its magnetic part is printed here. Interviewed by Science Thought Secretary Abdul Qayyum.
Science Thought: As an experienced magician, do you think magic is effective without scientific theory?
Jewel Ich: I don't think any work on earth can be done without the use of science theory. Whatever man does, there must be a scientific explanation. He who knows magic, accepts it very easily, the science behind it is real. But for those who do not know magic, it is wonderful. This is true of every creative work. He who does not know how to draw, who does not know how to draw, or who does not know how to write poetry, finds poetry incredible. The same is true of magic. Science Thought: It is heard that magicians can change the time by hypnosis. Is there any scientific explanation behind this incident?
Jewel Ich: The answer to this question raises multiple questions. The fact that the clock is ticking is actually man-made. Thoughts make people creative. He also makes the subject of any unrealistic fantasy believable. The clock is ticking. Magician PC Sarkar did it. It is said that many famous magicians did it before him. Some may even support it. Many write against it again. Such a story can be heard in the name of world famous magician Harry Houdin. Many believed he could actually change time, or he could turn himself into an ant. The magician Thurston came before the PC government in the Indian subcontinent. But he would blow up all these weird magic words in a loud voice. Thurston also gave people a scientific explanation for the impossibility of these. He used to say that his fans spread such strange things about him, even believing. Hypnosis is only effective in certain places. A magician is only able to hypnotize a person under certain circumstances. So it has no effective role in all cases everywhere. But we are also regularly hypnotized in our daily lives. We are mesmerized by the advertisements of various products. Such soap is good, playing such food will give energy, etc. But there is no scientific proof of this.
Science Thought: So all the conventional weird magic that is seen, is everything so baseless?
Jewel Ich: Actually, that's partly true. People like to paint the subject of magic too much. A very simple magic is to make a thick rope stand up straight. This is a very simple strategy. Even the magicians who play in the streets of our country know this trick. Very good quality rope is used in these cases. It can also be carried on a very light-skinned child. But people spread all the fictional stories of this magic by word of mouth. Some say the thread goes deep into the sky; Some say the magician went up a lot with the thread. You can say that the magic that seems impossible is the use of science behind it.
Science Thought: Science and technology have contributed immensely to the modern magic that is being shown at the present time. What do you say about the connection of modern science with magic?
Jewel Ich: It was along. From the very beginning, why only magic, science and technology have taken every advanced civilized work of the world forward. In the old days, painters used to draw and draw pictures for a long time. But now it does not have to work that way. Anyone can draw as much as he wants with modern technology. Science and technology have helped our magicians in many ways. New magic is being invented with the help of science. However, misleading rumors are being spread about magic online at present. They are misusing technology and presenting magic as they imagine. But he knows nothing about real magic. As a result, misconceptions about magic are being created in the minds of common people. Because they don't know the real magic, they think that it is magic to surprise people in this way. But those who are real magicians, they will never show you the wrong magic.
