Nothing gives him that right
Yesterday my daughter put out some garbage for me. Not long after, I heard the landlord yelling but stayed out of it as I assumed he was likely talking to his child and didn't want to interfere. A while later my daughter came in and I discovered that he had in fact been yelling at her. She had accidentally put a plastic container in the organics bin. I understand that it didn't belong there and it's an annoyance but yelling at an 8 year old especially when she is not your child is not right. Nothing makes that okay. She did not commit a major crime but he was acting like she did. On top of that he very easily could have simply knocked on the door and talked to me as he knows I am home most days. Instead he chose to yell at my daughter. Around 9pm he sent a text to my husband as well. It was a very short exchange which I will place a picture of here. I have cut off the dead space as well as anything that could identify either party.
Am I wrong to think he was being a bit rude in his second message? (the grey) Am I just taking it the wrong way? (The text that is, not him yelling at her)

He is being rude. Your daughter is only 8 years old, why the hell did he think he could do that? He could have just educated your daughter the moment he saw that what she's doing is not right. He could have talked to her nicely and taught her what to do the next time. People are being rude nowadays, and it's disturbing.
I agree. It is disturbing. Sadly, we are quite used to this. Most of our landlords seem to think they are above us. Taking it out on myself and my husband is one thing, but not our daughter.
Wow. They shouldn't be like that. Looks like humanity is fading away.
