X-Portal By MultiversX Kept The Elrond Scalability And Added The Smooth User Interface!

The Elrond Network was created as a highly scalable, fast and secure blockchain platform for Dapps and block-chain solutions. The Adaptive State Sharding Mechanism was designed to bring a 1000-fold cumulative improvement in throughput and execution speed is the future of block-chain.

The Romanian project had a major rebranding in March 2023, changing to the more appealing MultiversX name. The Maiar Wallet transformed into X-Portal and the capital X was added to the name of every product to symbolize a multiplier, and all the existing tools will be enhanced with new functions and adapted to the new market conditions. Looks like Elon wasn't the first one to embrace the "X"! 

Maiar had over 1 million users, and the upgrade to X-Portal took the wallet to new heights. The launch campaign was glamorous and the early users received the Gritty Summit Chaser NFT. Proud to be one of the 115,000 holders, and very pleased with how the new Dapp works. 

The X-Portal futuristic look and smooth UI had many new tools integrated in the wallet. The users can access all the MultiversX tools and Dapps with a single tap, mint or buy NFTs, and participate in challenges. 

The Mystery Box was added recently and counts as a reward and as an achievement. Up to 100 $eGLD were hidden in the box, and the two quests were accessible to all users.

I bought one $eGLD and stake it to complete both quests and received the Mystery Box. Call it disappointing box because I didn't got lucky enough to find 100 tokens. I received some $eGLD crumbles, XP and one NFT of a guy that looks through some sort of forcefield. 

My NFT collection is growing and I like the style. However, makes me wonder why all the characters are pictured from behind! Is there someone following them and creating weird memories? 

My 6th on X-Portal was a tough one, received after claiming XP for 30 consecutive days. The Courageous Voyager mission also rewarded me with 1500 XP and an extra avatar pack.

Was pure madness to remember the daily claim, as I failed twice with 20 days streak! I also set the in-app reminder but it's broken and the pop-up message fails to ... pop-up! Most of the time I receive the notification after I have already claimed the daily XP. 

If you think claiming XP daily for a month was hard? The Dauntless Crusader mission requires 90-days streak to earn the SFT, another avatar pack and 9,000 XP.

I always believed I was unlocking NFTs but I was wrong! All X-Portal acheivements and quests are rewarding Semi-Fungible Tokens, an innovative token with more advantages than the classic NFTs.

The semi-fungible tokens combine the characteristics of fungible tokens and NFTs into an innovative blockchain unit. The SFT exhibit the qualities of fungible tokens and non-fungible tokens at different points in their lifecycle.

Initially, the SFT will function like fungible tokens and can be exchanged with identical tokens with no loss of value for either party. They lose their exchange value once used and will gain the attributes of collectible NFTs.

There are few main advantages of using STFs instead NFTs, as they are more efficient, cost-effective, flexible, and involve improved transaction security. Perhaps the most significant advantage of using SFTs is that token transactions to incorrect addresses are reversible and refundable.

Unlike NFTs which must be transferred individually, SFTs support batch transfers. This means that multiple SFTs can be transferred in a single transaction, saving time and significantly reducing the costs. SFTs also permit highly secure transfers by improving upon the existing standards for NFTs.

Let's conclude the SFTs educative approach with my newest reward! I managed to reach the 90-days streak in one go, thanks to a daily alarm set on my phone! The Dauntless Crusader is by far the best piece of art I collected on X-Portal!
