Calling all Splinterlands  adventurers! It's time to raise your banners and light up the digital realms as our favorite play2earn game celebrate six epic years!

My fair share of battling, trading, and exploring the Splinterlands universe started on 26th of December 2021, but I can say I've been around for enough to consider myself an OG player!

I will take you on a journey, sharing my tales of triumph, weird strategies that led me to victory, and we'll cherished memories together. Join me in commemorating this amazing milestone!

Let's celebrate 6 amazing years with Splinterlands, and get ready for what's yet to come! Will take you on a journey trough remarkable battles, rebellions, conflicts and achievements!

Normie frens' don't know I call them "my normie friends"! As Deckard Cain once said... Stay Awhile and Listen! The story started with an young apprentice, a seeker of knowledge, that had some big dreams and nothing to lose. I become thirsty for knowledge and improved my game with practice.

How you play it?  You try to create the most optimal 7-card deck, using the available cards, and fight against opponents. More wins will bring more Glint, which can be used at the shop for cards, potions or even titles!

What's Glint? The new currency for ranked play, which can be used in the shop to buy all kind of stuff. You earn Glint daily depending on the wins, and then a big bunch at the end of the season... based on the overall performance!

It was a big update, and I had to quickly adapt to the changes. I did well to be honest, and exceeded my expectations! I reached Diamond I for the first time ever, after years of struggling to reach Silver tiers!

How much time I spend in the amazing Splinterlands universe? Between 30 minutes and one hour per day, mostly making sure my energy never reaches 50! Playing the game never consumes a significant part of your day, as I balance it with many other activities.

Don't worry about the gap between veterans and new players. The Rebellion lowered the gap between OGs and newbies, as the new cards and abilities destroyed the old strategies!

What have I managed to achieve so far? I reached Champion III tier and completed my goal of opening 100 Chaos Legion packs! Epic battles? There's been several but this one is my all-time favorite!

Why? Because it was so random... and against all odds! This is the story of the crazy mushroom that lived to tell the story! Battling a golden foil Djinn Muriat is an insane challange... winning against a golden foil Djinn Muriat is science fiction!

But against all odds... a small fungus creature managed the unbelievable! This is how this little funguy stayed alive when everyone thought it dead!

Obsidian: +1 Magic Power to friendly casters

Legionnaire Alvar: Melee with Void Armor

Madcap Magus: Caster with Life Leech and Scattershot

Legionnaire Alvar got cripple with every attack the suffered, and his insane armor stats were almost useless against all those magical creatures. Even if the spells where hitting his armor, his health was getting lower and lower.

Meanwhile, the Madcap Magus was gathering strenght and health! No one could predict what was yet to come!

Alvar was facing his demise with honor, and it was half-way through the fourth round when Muriat delivered the deadly blow! The Madcap Magus has turned into a lonely tank, and was ready for a battle that will be told for eons.

One magical mushroom against an all-mighty djinn and his lapdogs, the Cursed Slimeball and the Life Sapper. It looked like a flawless victory for my opponent .... but there's always luck and random.

The Madcap Magus was standing alone, with four health and a little armor... while the enemies were laughing! He could take down Djinn Muriat... maybe... but what about the others?

The Life Sapper shot and crippled the Magus, but he retaliated and sent Muriat into the void. It still looked fair and square right now... but the battle was far from over!

The Cursed Slimeball had it's turn, dealing damage and crippling the Magus... again! The Madcap was mad indeed... and his spell ignored the Slimeball armor. The deadly blow and life leech led to a one v one duel with the Life Sapper, which was already on six health!

And now was the moment that the bards sung about for generations! The beggining of the end for the Life Sapper, and how a little mushroom turned the tides of the battle in his favor through perpetual Life Leech. You will say that the Sapper has this ability as well, plus Cripple on top of that, but this is how legends are born.

What happened next is both suprprising and poetical, as the Madcap Magus supperior damage would slowly bring the Sapper down. This victory was also fueled by Obsidian's boost, that avoided a draw by fatigue!

It was like an endless cycle of hatred for rounds, with the Life Sapper spell crippling the Magus to one health and then the mushroom dude raising his health back after his attack. The only difference was made by the extra magical damage, and few round later it was clear that the battle was reaching the endgame!

The end is near... said every Doomsayer ever! But this time this call was for the Life Sapper! Mid-way through the twelve round ... it happened! The cycle of hatred was broken and the Madcap Magus sent the abomination to eternal peace! See the full battle here!

Upcoming Goals? What are my aspirations within Splinterlands? I wanted to buy at least five War Wagons during the Conflicts phase, fill them with my best cards, and hopefully get an airdrop!

My grad desire is to earn at least one airdrop card through Conflicts! Nothing from the first two, and I considerably boosted my chances for the third one! ! I splashed the cash and got a big bag of VOUCHERS, plus a decent amount of $DEC, and got 10 packs and fresh war wagons.

Did the 6,550 HR made a difference? I got 37 chances to get Venka the Vile but this was still low! The gods of random were looking the other way, and another conflict passed without rewards.

The 4th of the series comes with sorrow and low expectations, as we are mourning the loss of Commander Goff! However, there's no time for grief ... the legions have besieged Solace in an attempt to retake the city. Maybe... fourth time lucky!

What's next? I want to open 25 Rebellion packs, and the quest is already delayed! I had two packs from the presale and I bought 8 more so far. I need to step up and get some more packs before the summer!

So far this was my best loot, as what started with a common ended with a legendary Daarg Deadblast! Adding the golden foil Yak and an epic Redwyrm Hatchling in the mix, for the best unwrapping ever!

According to the lore, Daarg Deadblast fought his way up the ranks of the Drybone Anarchists to become Eternan Brune's chief advisor. Daarg finds both opportunities and risks, and he subtly navigates them to further his own ambitions.

Splinterlands isn't just a game... it's a dynamic universe that has the potential to shape and transform lives. My honest advice is to enjoy the game and build up your deck. Dream big but don't get upset if you don't win many battles.

The community is the best place to learn more, with useful intel available on forums, Discord channels, and social media groups. When you win... you win! When you lose... you learn! Happy Anniversary Splinterlands

Let's end the celebration with an after-party, and a mirror-game! This is why I love Splinterlands, and why the outcome of a battle is so hard to predict! Because it has skills, random, luck and a dose of madness!

This battle wasn't a classic David v Goliath duel, but a mirror-like challenge. Both of use choose Thaddeus Brood as a summoner, with magic and health reduction. The Cursed Windeku was mirrored as well, with his deadly Thorns, and the last unit was the one that will make the difference.

Thaddeus Brood: -1 Health & -1 Spell Power

Cursed Windeku: Melee with Thornes

Uraeus: Melee with Sneak

I looked at that Venari Marksrat, and realized that my opponent's tactic is better than mine. The Martyr will trigger twice thanks to the Born Again battle-rule, and the Cursed Windeku will get pumped up to extraordinary stats.

My Windeku delivered two deadly blows and the Martyr ability boosted the mirror image to 11 health and 4 damage! Unfortunately, Uraeus wasn't sneaky at all, both his attacks missing the target!

The third round was both weird and wonderful! My Windeku was hit and gave thorns damage in return, then he attacked and got damaged by the thorns. Uraeus finally landed a blow, and his armor was destroyed.

My Windeku died in the fourth round, not before giving thorns damage in return. The sneaky snake had the same fate, but both were "born again"! At this point... I started to believe I have a chance! Did I win? See the full battle here!
