The Prismologist will blast prisms for the Splinterlands Challenge
This card feels festive, as the magic looks Frozen-inspired. Let it snow ... let it snow... let's build a snowman from arcane prisms! Let's use light and glass to perform spectacularly stunning and powerful magic.
The Prismologists are disco wizards, using prisms for illusory and light-based magic. They are armed with their custom built prism, manipulate magic around them. The Light dances around them in a rainbow of colors as they lay waste to a bloody battlefield.
The journey starts at the Peace of Light Monastery from dawn until dusk with the goal of joining the order of the Spectrum Prism. The spellcasters must craft their own Prism to use as a focus for their spells, using sand from the deserts of Draykh Nahka. The quest involves battling dragons, heating the sand enough to become glass, and making it through the desert alive.
The Prismologist was added in the Chaos Legion expansion, as an Epic Life monster. The card starts from $0.75 per piece, and may cost a fortune for a high upgrade.
It starts with 4 health, 2 armor, 2 speed, 3 ranged damage and the Blast ability. The card will get overpowered through upgrades, gaining Forcefield and Silence.
This is an expensive cookie, and I didn't want to spend any money on it as rarely play with the Life Splinter. However, I think the Pelacor Arbalest is a card with a similar profile. The Arbalest Double-Strike is even more devastating when boosted by General Sloan.
Reega Sloan was one of the top healers in her field, before discovering Chaos magic. She used to cleanse the sick and cure the wounded, but now she started feeding the parasite that craves more of the life blood she can channel.
The Pelacor Arbalests are armed with powerful crossbows enchanted to fire bolts at extremely long distances. They are trained to wield a crossbow in each hand and can fire both simultaneously with deadly accuracy. This power can be enhanced by Sloan chaos magic, creating an over-power sharpshooter.
Pelacor Arbalests are cheaper then the Prismologist, costing only 6 mana. They have half the health and no armor but the Double Strike compensates for the fragility.
General Sloan: +1 Ranged damage to friendly monsters
Shieldbearer: Tank with Taunt
Luminous Eagle: Melee with Reach
Armorsmith: Support with Repair
Pelacor Arbalest: Ranged with Double Strike
Gargoya Scrapper: Decoy
I had to overcome a powerful Unicorn Mustang, that was healed and repaired by the Goblin Psychic and Scavo Hireling. It went all the way down to 2 health points, but was rejuvenated before his demise. In a similar way, my Shieldbearer had to protect the other cards from harm.
My opponent wasn't so lucky in the next round, as the Pelacor Arbalest delivered two deadly blows and the Mustang was down. The Shieldbearer survived again, due to a well-timed armor repair.
The Arbalest was a real sniper, taking down another opponent. The Shieldbearer couldn't do anything against Goblin magic, and joined his friends in Vallhala.
The Pelacor Arbalest shoots and kills! We are dominating the battleground as the healer couldn't heal himself before being pinned down by arrows. More arrows and the Scavo Hireling had the same fate, while the Luminous Eagle had the honor to end the fight. See the full battle here!
