Greetings Splinterlands Summoners! The classic weekly battle challenge retired to make way for the Battle Mage Secrets series, making it more entertaining. This new set-up adds a focus on dynamic strategies, as players will be able to choose from a greater selection of more diverse units to bring into battle.

Let's enjoy the Fog of War ruleset, where all monsters will lose the Sneak, Snipe and Opportunity abilities. At least Scattershot will still work! May the gods of random be ever in my favor!

Water Will Steam But Fog Will Chill Your Bones! The mana pool was decent, as 37 mana will give enough freedom for a good selection, but the Fog of War battle rule will make pointless to chose some cards!

I will use a lethal combo, with Torhilo the Frozen and Djinn Oshanus. Both have Void and will reduce the magical damage, while their stats are over-powered!

Torhilo is a massive frozen bull, as the name suggested. This amazing creature is one of the Frost Giant’s only friends left in the world. He has lived for hundreds of years and is growing tired, but Torhillo still charges at everything he faces with vigor.

Maybe an expensive Epic card, but you get a full package! Starts with 8 Health Points, 4 Armor, 4 Melee damage and the Void ability. Will become a rampaging bull when upgraded, gaining Last Stand at level four and Shatter at level six.

Djinn Oshannus is a legendary card that makes the difference on the battle fields. He is one of the djinns that possess powerful ancient magic and elemental power of their own!

He starts with Void and 10 Health Points, gaining Phase at level two and Force Field at level three! Time for battle!

Kelya Frendul: +1 Armor and +1 Speed

Torhilo The Frozen: Melee Tank with Void

Djinn Oshannus: Caster with Void

Nerissa Tridown: Caster

Axemaster: Ranged with Double Strike

Was pointless to use monsters with Sneak, Snipe and Opportunity! Therefore, I went for a team with a high focus on magic! I assumed that my opponent will do the same and I used two cards with Void, reducing the magic damage on them.

I was right and I faced another Water Splinter team, with some casters but not as much synergy!

The Diemonshark was my main target, and even with heals... this fish was going to become sushi! The Axemaster swing his weapons twice and today we'll feast with fish!

The enemy's Djinn Oshannus had to tank, while the Riverboat Captain was shooting blank Blast. Torhilo was reducing his damage, and my Djinn Oshannus was reducing the Blast to zero damage!

Was a duel of the Djinns, as both Oshannus did well to defend their team. My enemy was getting healed and had his armor repaired, and delayed his demise until round six.

Now with no Void to reduce my spells... it's time for carnage! Axes will fly around and magic bolts will stuck fear in the heart of my challengers! See the full battle here!
