UMA offers Universal Market Access, promoting the crypto decentralization and implementing blockchain technology in the Cryptoverse. The ecosystem expanded as oSnap went live on Arbitrum, helping DAOs to streamline their governance with oSnap and Snaphot.

Why oSnap? Zero gas fees, easy setup and automated on-chain execution are included in the package! oSnap on Arbitrum was launched to simplify any DAO governance into three simple steps: proposal creation, voting and execution! The data shows that gassless votes have at least four times better participation.

oSnap works hand-in-hand with SnapshotLabs to provide gasless voting and automatic on-chain execution. The accessible voting and the automated execution will lead to efficient governance. The tool is  secured by UMA's Optimistic Oracle, a blue-chip DeFi protocol that has been live since 2021 and secured ~10,000 assertions.

SavvyDeFi integrated oSnap, using it to empower $SVY holders with fully decentralized governance. Savvy users can unlock immediate liquidity with 0% interest, automatic repayment, and no liquidation risk.    What else to highlight? All-time highs for the Optimistic Oracle and oSnap Total Value Secured (TVS), the integration with ForeProtocol, a major major turnout at DevConnect Istanbul and lots of speculation about Huevos Rancheros. Join the UMA Discord to get the latest oSnap news, engage in the Community Calls every Tuesday at 7:30 PM UTC

UMA has hit another major milestone. The Optimistic Oracle has successfully validated 10,000 truths on-chain. That includes SnapshotLabs results for oSnap, liquidity balancing for AcrossProtocol and natural language statements for Polymarket and ForeProtocol.

This growth was as good as the attendance at poker tournaments! We started with 4-5 people and we ended the season with an average of 24 player per game!

The UMAzing Poker Season had 24 tournaments, all played after the Community Call. The prize pool was great, with 500 $UMA allocated for the whole event. All players earned points on a weekly basis, based on their place for each tournament, and added in the general leaderboard.

The prize pool was shared between the top ranked users in the season leaderboard and the top 8 players in the December All-Star Game. The regular season distributed 454 UMA for the top 12 players and small tips! The remaining 46 UMA tokens were allocated to the final show-off game!

Congratulations to Infinity who won the league by miles, constantly finishing top in all the games. He received a standing ovation, along with 120 $UMA tokens for being the top dog!

Pantera, TheRealTuna and Crackers also received nice gifts from Santa PVM, with some extra prizes also added for those that showed commitment. A special mention goes to Crackers, who had the most crowns. He won three tournaments in only 12 participations, winning one game in four participations.

The prizes were shared and everyone warmed up for the final game. Bags of UMA were shared to those that showed skills, punctuality and a top attendance! Wen UMAzing Poker 2.0? Probably not soon!

The All-Star Game concluded the 2023 poker season! The tournament has participation criteria, easy and flexible to make it accessible to the majority of the players. Any player that won a tournament throughout the season automatically received the ticket for the All-Star Game! Everyone who participated in at least six tournaments, or accumulated at least 8 season points received an invite.

Only 28 players were eligible for the event, from 66 that played throughout the season. From those, 24 registered for the All-Star Game, and only seven of them ended in the prize spots.

This is how the All-Star Game started... with nail-biting action. Five people flighted for this huge pot, and three of them got eliminated. Don't trust the 100% win from Crackers, as my straight was bigger than his! I started the game in style and I was soon the chip leader.

It escalated quickly, and the top trio had to go all-in with this hand! It was one of the weirdest things I seen during my long poker career, with a split due to the full-house on the table.

No winners this time, just some unexpected events. I was sitting comfortably on the leader chair, but we all know that this game is as volatile as the crypto market.

Few bad games and I let Razer grow big, nearly showing me the Game-Over card. Instead, I started my comeback and the tactic paid back. I was so close to elimination, but a pair of 9s put my back on top.

Poetical justice in the last hand of the game, as King PVM got his All-Star Game crown .... with a pair of Kings. I watched every card slowly turning, and I was honestly expecting an Ace showing up at the end. It didn't and I won!

The attendance was close to the All-Time High, with 24 players joining forces for a final show. Congratulations to every single participant! This amazing season couldn't be this great without your involvment.

Well done to the seasonal winners and to those that qualified for the All-Star Game, and on top .... congratulations to me for being the best of the best. You know it..... I didn't come so far just to come so far!

I won the tournament so it felt right to share more and reward extra players. Extended the prize list to extra players, as this is the season to be jolly!

The All-Star Game prizes:

  • 2nd place for Razer: 15 UMA

  • 3rd place for Heruvim: 12 UMA

  • 4th place for Fhantom: 9 UMA

  • 5th place for Pantera: 6 UMA

  • 6th place for Steve: 3 UMA
