What makes someone special? Being different in an inspirational way! What makes a community special? Offering a place where people come to work as a team!
What makes SuperUMAns DAO special? It's a place of magic where we work in synergy to achieve goals. I joined an Onboarding meeting last week and we debated why SU DAO is different. I realized that the SuperUMAns power is the team-work, as we are one of the rare DAOs where we have to work as a team to obtain better results. The majority of DAOs are competitive and the members must compete between them for various rewards and boosts. If you party... party like you DAOn't care!
In only 9 months I went from a shy guy that joined the UMA Discord to one of the SuperUMAns UMAsters! How I done it? By doing what I love and what I am best at, combined with what the DAO needed! If I was able to find this synergy... you can do it as well!

Not long time ago, at the end of May 2021, I was invited to join the UMA Discord. I was told that the community needs content creators and is oozing good vibes and camaraderie. I joined and ... this is how the story of the SuperUMAns begins! I was e very sociable guy even before joining the Superumans! Not Timigraphicks expert so this meme must deliver the message!
The SuperUMAns DAO is only 3 months old, after Risk Labs entrusted the community with autonomy. The SuperUMAns core mission is to communicate the true power of universal market access, and it's benefits, to the world. Attaining universal access to markets is like learning a language, and the purpose of the DAO will be to build knowledge, skills and culture to facilitate trustless financial instruments. This is what made the difference between boring crypto projects and a vibrant community that goes in the right DAOrection.
The uINT campaign was the last one under the UMA/Risk Labs banner, and we had to finish our "contract" in glory! The uINT value per integration was the most rewarding KPI Option so far, paying 0.1 UMA per standard integration. Volatility DAO funded KPI Options with only few days into October, with Pool Together opting for the same product. PieDAO integration was completed in November, and the uINT value grew to 0.3 UMA per uINT token.
The SuperUMAns worked hard to achieve more integrations, and to build the framework for the SuperUMAns DAO. Three more KPI options were integrated in December, adding Yel Finance, XIO and DFX to the list. We were heading towards the end of quarter party, and the 0.6 UMA per uDAO ratio was a good reason to celebrate. But just before the SuperUMAns DAO launch party was ready to start, Henry announced the 7th integration!
With 7 completed integrations, the uINT value was set by the Optimistic Oracle at 0.7 UMA per uINT. This was definitely a reason to party like we DAOn't care! With confetti, pom-poms, Ponmile and fireworks ... we kicked of the DAO Launch Party!
Not e-rich, not to skilled with the ball, or creative like ericbal ... but I managed to make this fancy chicken souvenir! I find my creative evolution quite interesting, considering that I few months ago I had no clue what a .PNG is (or a DAO!)
Party .... I was talking about the party! The DAO launch party started with another amazing Charity Chain event and catchy Nigerian Music. Day two included trivia, lottery and the first SuperUMAn of the Month Award. It's not EverythingBlockchain... as we all need a bit of music and glee in our life!
The Charity Chain event... what an heartwarming story! It was the best Kristmas story ... as we raised over $2500 for No Kids Hungry! The Giving Block was our event partner and ensured that the crypto donation reached the charity organization.
Poker is my kryptonite, but this time I played and won some crypto! I played like Superman and was no Lex or Lana Luthor to stop me. Only kidding... as I finished 3rd at the end of the game!
The SuperUMAns organized a trivia event, with $UMA prizes for the fastest correct answers! I got two prizes and I finally have some assets on Arbitrum! This means I will have the chance to try Across Protocol soon!
The SumerUMAns glory whouldn't be possible without the Optimistic Oracle! This "guy" is great at many things but I want to highlight three major aspects that will help any project, DAO or organization:
