Why the Zilliqa HYPE?
Zilliqa staking is now available on the desktop version of Atomic Wallet, while the mobile staking will be available soon. If you don't have Atomic wallet and have questions on how it works, you will find answers in the Atomic Wallet Tutorial - Remaking the world, remaking ourselves!
I am a Zilliqa fan since June-July and this block-chain solution will help the evolution of the crypto ecosystem. The new public block-chain platform for high-throughput applications brings the theory of sharding to practice with it's brand new and innovative protocol. As the crypto market expands, Zilliqa will increase the speed of transactions to match the expansion, offering a high-performance, high-security platform for the next-generation applications. The enterprises and those who wish to build decentralized applications will find in Zilliqa the perfect scalable and secure platform, using a throughput of more than 2,800 transactions per second, which is 200 times higher than that of today's most popular block-chains. In addition to its scalability. A full report is available at Zilliqa (ZIL) - the solution for the ever-growing crypto market!
How to stake Zillqa on Atomic Wallet?
The first step I had to take towards staking my Zilliqa was to take them out of Binance Savings where I was getting under 1% interest and send them to Atomic Wallet. The fee to send 2858 Zilliqa was 0.01 ZIL which I think is one of the smallest transfer fees I ever paid.
Just as a reminder, the Zilliqa staking is currently available only on the Desktop version. The tokens reached Atomic Wallet in about 2 minutes.
The next step towards staking is to select the "Staking" tab in the left side of the screen.
The staking tab contains all the staking options, the available amount, staked amount and the $USD value. Clicking on Zilliqa will open the interface where the process can be finalised.
Press the "Stake All" button to add all the tokens for staking and press the "Stake" button to continue. The staking fee is again minimal, only 2 ZIL ($0.03), which is again a huge difference from the ETH based staking. AtomicWallet is the validator and no Binance Coin (BNB) is needed for this staking.
The final confirmation will list all details and the shock is the annual yield percentage, at 29%. The Zilliqa interest is higher than Atomic Wallet Coin (AWC) but I can't say if it will stay like this or will get lower once more ZIL is staked. Press the "Stake" button and ... Voila!
The Zilliqa was successfully staked! The whole staking process took less than 5 minutes, including the sending from Binance, and $0.03 spent on fees.
