Splinterlands Battle Mage Secrets - Fab Four, Noxious Fumes And Quakes

0 35

Greetings Splinterlands Summoners! The classic weekly battle challenge retired to make way for the Battle Mage Secrets series, making it more entertaining. This new set-up adds a focus on dynamic strategies, as players will be able to choose from a greater selection of more diverse units to bring into battle.

Let's enjoy the Fab Four ruleset, and up to four units can be used in the game. This is a great way to showcase the most expensive cards, and bring on the big guns!

The other variable is the mana cap, as low values would provide less choice when you are creating the team.

Can a low mana cap and Fab Four go worst? Yes ... when you add Noxiuos Fumes and the Eartquake battle-rules. This will be a quick one! Time for the most beefy unit in the game!

Obsidian: +1 Spell Power

Ulundin Overseer: No attack support unit with Flank

Moxian Rebel: Caster with Weapons Traning

Chaos Agent: No attack support unit

Vampire Bat: Melee with Flying

My plan was to turn support units into amazing wizards. The Moxian Rebel granted them with spell power and Obsidian boosted the attack. The Ulundin Overseer is the beefy tank with no less than 17 health, and now it become as strong as Gandalf!

Earthquake hit all the non-flying units, then the poison sealed the fate of most of the fighters. Only Quora left up for the opponents, and two units for me. But we all know that Quora's double attack and heal could turn the tides of the battle!

She hit twice the obese hippo and then healed up to six health! It was clear now that I didn't had the fire power to win the game!

Earthquake hit the Overseer and Quora, but instead of losing the battle... I managed to pul a draw. The Vampire Bat was unaffected by the quake so the battle moved to the noxious fumes, and everyone died! See the full battle here!

The other variable is the mana cap, as low values would provide less choice when you are creating the team. Things flip when the mana cap is big... as better units and even a better summoner can be used!

Well... let me tell you that I mess it up... as I didn't noticed the Back To Basics rule. All the monsters lost their abilities so they only had Cripple from the other rule.

By the look of it, my opponent mess it up as well! Those two units with Martyr ... had no Martyr! Was a battle of giants! Helios Matriarch v Eternan Brune!

Djinn Chwala: Tank with ... no Thorns

Chimney Wallstop: Melee with ... no Reach and Bloodlust

Lava Launcher: Ranged with... no Close Combat

Molten Ogre: Melee with ... no Demoralize

Eternan Brune reduced my armor by two, but the whole team was made of ranged units. This strategy looked wrong!

It was a flawless victory, as those archers fell one by one! I am claiming the win even if it didn't looked too glorious! See the full battle here!
