Splinterlands Battle Challenge - Lost Magic And Lost Battles

Greetings Splinterlands Mages! It's time to try brand new dynamic strategies, fueled by rage and sparks of rebellion. Let's enjoy the Lost Magic ruleset, and magic units may not be used in battle.

Last week we lost legendaries, now we lost casters! There's some tips and methods to approach this limitation, like using Thorns and Demoralize to counter melee attacks. The use of Headwinds and Return Fire will counter all ranged attacks, so maybe a combination of both for a better synergy.

The units wit two types of attack, which include magic, cannot be used. This means Quora is not available for this challenge!

I am fine with no casters, but 15 mana cap is too low for ... anything. I wanted to adapt to Super Sneak by using a taunt, and to Blood and Sunder with units without armor.

Tarsa: +1 Melee & +1 Health

Iidri Fyre: Support with Taunt

Gobalano Soldier: Melee with Sneak and Ambush

Flame Mephit: Ranged with Flying

My opponent used Tarsa as well, and only two units. The Mad Ogre Anarchist and the Tenyii Striker had higher health and attack.

The Gobalano Soldier ambushed the Tenyii Striker, then hit him again as the round started. The Mephit arrow hit the Mad Ogre and Iidri shielded his team from all attacks.

As Iidri has fallen, so did my chances. The Gobalano Soldier didn't had the chance to finish the striker! See the full battle here!

I didn't wanted to share a lost battle so here we go again! No magic... no problems! With no casters for either of the teams... the dynamics will be around either ranged or over-powered melee units.

The mana cap was 27, so my focus was on quick damage and deadly attacks. Time for Kelya Frendul and an army of brawlers! Let's go!

Kelya Frendul: +1 Speed & +1 Damage

Costal Sentry: Tank with Double-Strike

Disintegrator: Melee with Demoralize

Pelacor Bandit: Melee with Flying and Sneak

Uraeus: Melee with Sneak

I faced a Fire team with Snipe rangers hiding behind two strong melee tanks. The Elven Defender is stuck behind the Living Lava, same as my Disintegrator, but my card has utility. I was expecting Tarsa but dude with speed is a cheaper alternative.

The Lava Spider was the first one down, after a few sneaky attacks. The Living Lava reduced the damage from the Costal Sentry, but also had his attack reduced! Fire v Water is like a classic battle!

The Coastal Sentry will be remembered in bard's songs, taking care of the Living Lava with ease! She done the task and deserve all the glory!

Tank switch, with the Elven Defender taking the lead and my Disintegrator moving in the first position. Was game over in few moves! See the full battle here!

What went well? The team set-up was strong, having a good synergy. The enemy had the attack power reduced, and the deadly snipe rangers were taken down quick. If I didn't had monsters with Sneak, the ranged unit could have been a problem.

The summoner choice was also an important aspect, as the extra armor from Kelya nullified one attack on each friendly monster. Lost legendaries last week, lost magic this week... what's next? Lost Kingdoms?
