Snitches get stitches - Splinterlands Battle Challenge
What happens in Splinterlands must stay in Splinterlands, and you know already that snitches get stiches so be careful who you tell about our battle challenge club. Always remember the first rule of our battle challenge club ... you don't talk about the battle challenge club!
This is the story of a snitch who lived to snitch about a sneaky win. The true is that the snitch didn't live as it was dead, and the win was not sneaky... was poisonous!
The Shadow Snitch is a common Death Splinter card added with the Chaos Legion expansion. It costs 4 mana, and comes with 5 Health, 1 Speed, 1 Melee Damage and the Reach ability.
Due to the market over saturation with Chaos Legion cards, the price floor is low, at $0.09 - $0.10 per card. The backstory for this creature is sinister, as the Shadow Snitches are created by the Chaos Legion conjurers from darkness. They are the harbingers of doom, lurking the lands prior the invasions. The gathered information is used by the Chaos Legion to deploy the best conquest plan, a plan that may use the Shadow Snitches as assassins, stalkers and kidnappers.
Snitches getting stitches - Rumors are poisonous
It couldn't be a darker twist to this battle, as Fire and Death challenged each other on a poisonous battleground. The mana cap was set at 14, leaving little place for an over tactical selection of cards.
Summoner: Contessa L'Ament: -1 Ranged to enemies.
Cursed Windeku - Main Tank with Roots
Shadow Snitch - Melee with Reach
Shadow Presence - Decoy
My summoner's ability was useless as no ranged was selected by the opponent. He went for speed and quick damage, hoping to gain advantage before the first poison damage.
The plan before the battle was to let the Windeku damage as many opponents as possible and let the poison do the rest. The Shadow Snitch will deal damage from behind the tank, with the Reach ability, while the Presence will act as a shield for the Snitch.
My plan worked well and the Serpentine Spy hit the Presence, leaving the Snitch with full health. When the poison hit, sharing damage quicker than I share a round of tequila, the opponent team was reduced to only the Living Lava.
The poison hit again at the start of Round Two, and both the Cursed Windeku and the Shadow Snitch survived. Every single choice, and every single scenario I've done when selecting the team led to this moment in time... the Living Lava dealt a deadly blow on the Windeku and got killed by the roots!
It was a highly tactical battle, even if the mana cap was low. The Shadow Snitch lurked in the shadows and survived the tell the story. It's time to snitch about this inglorious battle, a shady and sneaky win! Check the full battle for extra fun!
