New week, new tales and new challenge in Splinterlands! This time is Dark Ha'On, the legendary bird of Death. This amazing Untamed melee card has not one, not two, not three .... but 5 abilities. It starts with Taunt and Flying at level 1, gaining Scavenger at level 2, Void at level 3 and Magic Reflect at level 4. This card is wow... beyond any imagination! If I had this card than probably the Death Splinter would be used more often than now.
It's no rest for the wicked, even if I don't have the Dark Ha'on card. I decided to play the Death Splinter, using Contessa L'Ament as the summoner. Why? Because it gives -1 Ranged Attack to the enemies and mainly because is my only level 2 Death Summoner and instead of Dark Ha'on I used the Undead Rexx. Why? Because it's cool and that's my normal choice for tank.
Battle 1: Yin and Yang / Life v Death (normal battle rules with 24 mana cap)
Undead Rex: Main Tank and OP Damage
Sand Worm: OP Damage
Undead Priest: Reduce enemies health
Creeping Ooze: Reduce enemies speed
Furious Chicken: Decoy!
The Undead Priest neutralized the +1 Health from the enemy summoner and my only concern was the Shieldbearer. He couldn't resist too much under heavy hits from the Undead Rexx and the Sand worm, being nuked at the end of round 2.
After the Shieldbearer was down, my mission was simplified and took up to round 5 to clear the table and win the battle. See the full battle here!
Battle 2: Death is a river (Explosive Weaponry with 15 mana cap)
Undead Rex: Main Tank and OP Damage
Undead Priest: Reduce enemies health
Creeping Ooze: Reduce enemies speed
Furious Chicken: Decoy!
Water v Death! But why using a Ranged Water Elemental that heals in first position? Why? Why? Such a quick battle, lasting only 1 round! See the full battle here!
Battle 3: No rest for the wicked (Normal ruleset with 30 mana cap)
Undead Rex: Main Tank and OP Damage
Sand Worm: OP Damage
Vampire: Ranged with Leach Life
Twisted Jester: Ranged with good vibes
Furious Chicken: Rexx breakfast
Death v Death! A battle of resurrected horrors' and dark souls. The Undead Rexx will face a powerful Elf while each team had a Jester.
Halfway through the battle and monster were dropping like ... bones! My Vampire was totally useless but I was lucky with the Sand Worm's one shot - one kill attacks!
The Undead Rexx and Sand Worm combo was smashing the enemies and not even a Bone Golem could trouble my team. See the full battle here!
Battle 4: No rest for the wicked - part 2 (Unprotected with 25 mana cap)
Undead Rex: Main Tank and OP Damage
Sand Worm: OP Damage
Twisted Jester: Ranged with good vibes
Furious Chicken: Rexx breakfast
Death v Death - again! Another battle of resurrected horrors' and dark souls but with the Vampire gone to sleep! No armor in this battle so the Bone Golem wasn't a great choice.
Maggots will never trouble an Undead Rexx or the Sand Worm. Overpowered damage will always have a say when monsters will be crushed in a single blow. Another easy win for this Undead Challenge! See the full battle here!

Your post reminded me that I have not played Splinterlands during last few days. I just went to complete my last quest and saw that the site is down for maintenance. Any idea when it will be back?
