My Remarkable Splinterlands Quest For Better Cards - Glint And Surprises

0 12

Let's dive into Splinterlands! I want to share my remarkable quest for better cards, and the hustle done to reach higher ranks! Let's talk about Glint and surprising cards that can turn the tides of the battle in your favor!

Splinterlands is the strategic auto-battler multiplayer digital-collectible trading card game on the Hive blockchain. Lots of fancy words so lets make it simple ... you try to create the most optimal 7-card deck to fight against opponents.

There are many ways to improve the winning rate and Glint earnings, but most of them are linked to better cards! The Battle Mages can get cards from packs, chests, brawls or buy them with Glint!

Earn Glint and buy cards or open chests

Fight and win throughout the season to earn Glint, and improve your deck. You will earn Glint with every win, and another batch at the end of the season. Use it wisely!

I usually spend the Glint gathered throughout the season on Common cards, spending 150 for each draw. The Glint received at the end of the season is spent on Rare cards, spending 75o for each draw.

Let me present you a failed experiment! I used 13,000 Glint to buy 13 Major Chests, and hoped that the gods of random will be kind. The same amount of Glint could have been used for 17 rare draws and 2 common cards.

Lots of Merits, enough for a Gladius Case! The market value for 2200 Merits would be 2200 Glint at the shop. I've got potions as well, 12 Legendary and 9 Alchemy ones, with a market value at 1860 Glint.

Moving to the cards, where I've got "rewarded" with 18 common cards. The market value for those would be 2250, as each common draw would cost only 150 Glint. I've got half the value invested and this made it clear that card draws are better than playing with random chances!

I scrapped the above strategy and used the Glint for rare draws, as a cheaper and more secure alternative to get better cards.

I struggled to raise DEC for the Wild Pass, so took me a while to get it. When I had enough to buy it, I also had 49 energy to use! Battled with honor and earned enough Glint for four rare draws!

I used 3000 Glint and got the four guaranteed cards, and three of them were new additions! Welcome Continuum Seer, Skyspire Leopard and Quilliun Legionary!

Brawls and Gladius Cases

You make your way through the rank in seasons, or smash the competition in brawls or events. Gladiators will get involved in brawls, large tournaments in which guilds fight together against other guilds, competing to earn Crowns and leveling their Arena.

Up to 10 guilds of the same Tier are randomly grouped together for each Brawl, with fights completed in Wild format. Playing in brawls helped me to earn Merits, which I keep spending on Gladius Cases.

The Gladiator cards are more powerful then normal cards, but are Soulbound. All the 32 Gladius card have the Bloodlust ability, earning +1 to all initially non-zero stats per defeated opponent.

The progress is clear, and the amount of Gladiator cards keeps growing! I upgraded a lot of cards to level two, and some monsters are already at level three.

Got five gold foil cards and must say Chimney Wallstop is one of my favorite cards when it comes to raw force. Xulax joined a selected group, with Sola and Larissa as founding members of the Legendary Legion

It's great when I can link this cards to the special summoners and use them outside brawls! Are you an angry brawler of a classy gladiator?

Conflicts Cards

You can earn airdrop cards from conflicts, if you are either lucky or have a lot of cards into War Wagons. I am always short and my chances are low!

What about ELIAS MAX PRUITT? Did I got him or just another failure? I had 55 chances to get it, from 200 needed for a guaranteed drop. Is 25% enough to get on of those OG Elias cards? No it wasn't!
