Greetings Splinterlands Summoners! The classic weekly battle challenge retired to make way for the Battle Mage Secrets series, making it more entertaining. This new set-up adds a focus on dynamic strategies, as players will be able to choose from a greater selection of more diverse units to bring into battle.

Let's enjoy the What Doesn't Kill You ruleset, where all monsters gain the Enrage ability which multiplies their speed and melee attack by 1.5x rounded up. It's very important to understand that the attack multiplier will only affect melee units.

Cards with the Inspire ability will increase your melee attack while Demoralize will decrease your opponent's melee attack. This will work well in some crazy combos, adding more firepower or extra damage with Double Strike or Blast.

It's not always about taking down the enemies as fast as possible ... even if that's the easiest way to win. It's not always about having the higher attack... or maybe it is?

This battle showed that water and fire will always create steam, as two strong teams met on the battlefield. What doesn't kill you make you stronger, and every monster that will survive a hit will get overpowered.

I choose Tarsa because Enrage will multiply the monter's speed and melee attack by 1.5x rounded up, and the extra melee damage added by the summoner may make the difference.

Tarsa: +1 Melee & +1 Health

Living Lava: Tank with Shield

Tenyii Striker: Melee with Sneak

Uraeus: Melee with Sneak

Scorch Fiend: Decoy

I was facing a Water team that boosted the monster's armor and speed, with Djinn Oshannus as that odd tank that will shoot past my armor. The expectation was for an even match, and hopefully a lucky win!

Oshannus done a lot of damage, as the Living Lava's Shield ability and armor can't reduce magic. The decoy done what a decoy have to do, and took the hit for the team.

The enrage could make a difference, as the Deeplurker looks pretty scary with six melee damge. However, my Living Lava may take care of Oshannus as well.

I asked for luck and I received the opposite. The Tenyii Striker missed a killing blow on the Deeplurker, and the battle could have turned ugly. At least Uraeus didn't miss his chance and served sushi for lunch.

Djinn Oshannus left the Living Lava on minimal health and his speed got to an insane level. The main issue it speed is that faster units are harder to hit.

The stone fish dampened two attacks, being a more efficient decoy than my Scorch Fiend was. My concern turned into reality, as the Living Lava missed the chance to end the game.

Instead, Djinn Oshannus extinguished the lava and made me sweat for the win! The situation wasn't alarming, as I could take on six magical hits.

I would have at least ten attacks and the chances to miss them all is borderline impossible. Or is it? See the full battle here!
