The Proud Alcoholic
The drink would make you feel really good. Before it made you feel really bad. Some of them take it because they’ll rather be seen at bars with three bottles of beer before them rather than in an alley with **ashes** dropping from the butts of their cigarettes. It **perplexes** me to hear that they believe that drinking alcohol is better than smoking cigarettes or hemp. There’s no reason why someone should say that, except if the excessive alcohol intake has also shrunk your brain to the size of a **worm**. Smoking is to the Lungs as Alcohol is to the Liver: utterly destructive. The only form of Alcohol that is really needed is Medical Alcohol, and unfortunately, after they’ve drunk to a stupor and hurt themselves, they’ll need the Medical Alcohol, putting their families in a state of financial strain at the hands of a money-hungry health sector. The one thing that can **release** them from the chains of alcohol addiction is a good rehabilitation program. But they would rather be seen in a bar than be seen among people at ‘rehabs’. They are too proud and feel they are too prominent and respected to be seen among people of such caliber; among other addicts. Alcoholics unwilling to acknowledge their terrible situation and seek help will never return to the **charming** figure they were before they met that damn bottle. This is a Freewrite. Good use of the prompts :) I like this one too. Smoking and drinking alcohol are just as bad. But many still do it, they give in to their desires instead of thinking clearly the effects of them to their body, mind and soul.
Thanks a lot. I guess people are a lot more thoughtless of how.much damage they're doing to their bodies and minds.
Perhaps alcohol is not that bad because if you stay single you only harm yourself and with some luck, you can no longer reproduce yourself. Cigarettes cause cancer but not only to you but to nonsmokers who sit/live in your smoke as well. I think people who harm their own health on purpose should be responsible for their own bills, no insurance should pay for that. If they harm others they need to pay for that as well.
With some luck 😂 That's true, no one who takes care of themselves in such a terrible way should ever have a family to take care of. It's true that Alcohol doesn't affect others (health wise) as directly as smoking does. But you can think of how it affects family. How others within the society may emulate them. But yes, people who involve themselves in such should be responsible for themselves.
That was a pretty good freewrite. I didn't think those props could write about alcoholism haha very nice!
