Movie review; "way back home", summary and lesson learnt

Way back home is a Filipino movie which major character is "Kathryn Bernardo as Johanna" and "Julia Montes as Jessica". They play the role of sisters in the movie, they were born with silver spoon and they were living the best life they could live. The little kid sisters both love each other dearly and they always look out for other and watch each other's back.

The elder sister(Jessica) who was about 2 years older than the younger sister(Johanna) both went to the beach together with their mother on a particular sunny day, the day looked so bright. As they were playing beside the beach, the mum told Jessica to watch over her younger sister that she quickly need to be somewhere and that they should stay where they are that their father will soon meet them there, so she left.

Jessica tried her very best to watch over her sister at first, she even teased her and played with her so much and they both had fun but she later got distracted by some set of sea animals she saw by the beach side and also how the other kids were playing with it so she and her sister ran towards the direction to also go play with it, they played with it so much and it looked so fun. All of a sudden, she looked beside her but couldn't find her kid sister who was about 4 years anymore, she searched and searched the whole of the place but couldn't find her and just when she was still searching for her, their parent arrived and also joined her in the search but couldn't find her as well. They scolded the Jessica terribly for letting her sister go missing and for not guiding her enough. Life goes on!

Jessica had grew into a young beautiful girl who was in high school, she loved swimming so much and she gave her all into it, she has also represented her school in several competitions which she won but in all this, her mother never appreciated her, she was always been treated like an outcast since the incident that happened to her sister. Her mum would always blame her for the cause of her sister's missing status, she would always bring up the issue anytime they try to have a conversation. She never for once got a thank you anytime she does something great, that made her so mean to people and she even rarely smiles, she always feel like no one genuinely love her.

As time goes on, they found her missing sister, I guess she was taking in by a woman living by the beach side so she could take care of her since it looked like she was wandering around with no one to care for her. She had been living a poor life since the woman that took her is somewhat poor so she was finally found by her real family and they decided that she should follow them back to their mansion and start living with them which she did.

Johanna was also a very good swimmer (if not better than her sister) she also go for swimming competitions too and she wins. Jessica started getting jealous at the way her sister was been showed love while she was neglected like she doesn't matter. Johanna would be appreciated and celebrated for any little achievement while she would not be recognized even if she had major achievements.

The two sisters started quarrelling and they couldn't get along though the younger one would always want to play with her sister and at times wonder why she was always aggressive but she couldn't understand why. Jessica would called series of names and she would cry and cry. It got to a point she decided to move out of the house and nice back to where she was staying before which she did.

Before then, something happened and Jessica almost lost her life, she was about drowning in the sea when Johanna saw her and helped her and she was rushed to the hospital but before Jessica could wake up in the hospital, Johanna has already back to where she came from. Jessica started to feel bad and she thought she was the reason why Johanna went back. Her mum consoled her and told her it wasn't her fault and that she was the one that caused it from the start. She furthered to apologise for all her bad behavior towards her. They all went together as a family to visit Johanna, Jessica apologized to Johanna and they all reconciled as family.
