Sex education is the process of informing children and adolescents about the sexual structure of a person's body, sexual activities, sexual reproduction, hormonal changes in the body, safe sex, pregnancy, menstruation and birth control. In today's society, sex education is not usually given to children at home but due to the increasing incidents of sexual harassment with children and incidents of rape in adolescence, sex education has been introduced in schools to make children aware. In many places, children are given sex education by organizing street plays and various programs.

Sex education is a process in which teachers at school and parents at home impart sexual information to growing children. So that he can know about his sexual activity, close relationship and sexual identity. This action gives children a good understanding of sex, enabling them to make sexual decisions in the future.

Regarding sex education, the World Health Organization had issued a directive that sex education must be given in school to children aged 12 years and above. A survey has revealed that children who have been given sex education by teachers, go to their right age and have sex in a safe way.

Sex education is an instructional therapy on issues related to human sexual behavior, including emotional responsibilities and relationships, sexual activities, age of sexual consent, human sexual anatomy, reproductive rights, reproductive age, birth control, safe sex and sexual abstinence.

Importance of Sex Education

There have been many debates and discussions on the importance of sex education, that it should be implemented in school. Some people are against it, some people have given the green signal realizing the need for it. Sex education among children teaches them about sexuality, changes in their body and all this they should know before the onset of puberty. Sex education can teach children many things about their body, but it can also mislead them. According to experts, the main reason for the increase in children's interest in sex is the Internet.

Children's interest in sex has increased due to the pornographic material available on the internet and the tendency of the youth towards the internet. Even today in our society, if children ask their parents questions related to sex, then the parents turn red with shame and get angry at them. In such cases, children find answers to sex related questions with the help of internet and magazines. In it they get information, but half-incomplete. At times, because of this incomplete information, children also start establishing physical relations. It is better to calm down the child's curiosity about sex in school or parents try to give them sex education in the right language according to their age.

According to sex experts, if children are taught aspects related to sex in school, they do not fall into any kind of seduction. Nothing wrong with sex can affect them in any way. Sex education is very important, especially for girls.
