Italy drew with Switzerland, Jorginho missed a penalty
In the match of the 5th round of qualification for the 2022 World Cup in Group C, the Swiss national team drew with Italy. The meeting took place in Basel at the St. Jakob Park stadium and ended with a score of 0: 0.
At the 52nd minute, the referee awarded a penalty kick to the Swiss goal. Ricardo Rodriguez made a mistake with a pass, giving the ball to the opponent on the penalty line, and then cut off Domenico Berardi in the subcategory. Jorginho was unable to convert the 11-meter - Jan Sommer took the ball tightly after a slight blow from the midfielder.

Germany defeats Armenia with six goals
In the match of the 5th round of Group J of the qualifying tournament of the 2022 World Cup, the German national team defeated the Armenian national team. The meeting took place at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Stuttgart and ended with a score of 6: 0.
On the 6th minute the scoring was opened by Serge Gnabry, he was assisted by Leon Goretzka. Then Gnabry made a double. Marco Reus brought the score to a devastating one, Timo Werner gave an assist. At the end of the first half, Werner scored the fourth goal of the Germans. Jonas Hoffman scored the fifth goal against Armenia. Karim Adeyemi completed the rout of the Armenian team.
Germany scored 12 points and came out on top in the group table. Armenia (10) dropped to second place.
In a another match, the Romanian national team beat Liechtenstein (2: 0). The goals were scored by Alin Toshka and Kristjan Manya. Romania (9) ranks third in Group J, Liechtenstein (0) last.
Spain defeated Georgia in World Cup 2022 qualification match
In Badajoz, at the Nuevo Vivero stadium, the 2022 World Cup qualification match took place. The Spanish national team hosted the Georgian team. The meeting ended with a confident victory for the hosts, who scored four unanswered goals.
Already in the first half, the Spaniards brought the score to a large one. In the 14th minute, the score was opened by Jose Luis Gaia . In the 25th minute, Carlos Soler doubled the lead of the Spanish team, and at the end of the half, Ferran Torres scored the third goal. In the middle of the second half, Pablo Sarabia put an end to the match.
The Spanish national team scored 10 points and climbed to the first place in the standings of group B. The second place in the group is occupied by the Swedish national team (9), but the Scandinavians had two fewer matches. The Georgian national team takes the last place in the group, gaining only one point.

Nice! Germany and Spain ran rout, winning their opponents with big margine. I expected the Switzerland vs Italy match to be tough with little goals, but I didn't see a goalless draw. Well, this has been dusted. Looking forward to the next fixtures.
