Bill Gates' childhood

His parents dreamed of making a career in law for him but he was interested in computer science and its programming languages since childhood. His early education took place at Lakeside School. When he was an eighth grader, his school bought a computer program on the ASR-33 Telecommunication Terminal and General Electric (GE) computer in which Gates showed interest. Then at the age of only thirteen, he wrote his first computer program called "tic-tac-toe" and it was used to play computer games. Bill Gates was exceptionally intrigued with this machine and was interested to know how these software codes work.

Bill Gates' passion for computer programming

After this, Gates continued to show interest in systems called DEC, PDP, mini computer, but he was banned for 1 month by Computer Center Corporation for bugs in the operating system. It was during this time that he and his friends impressed the people by fixing the deficiencies in the CCC software and after that he continued to visit the CCC office to study the source code for various programs and this continued till 1970. This was followed by Information Sciences Inc. Four Lakeside students, including Bill Gates, were hired to write a payroll program on COBOL, providing computer time and royalties.

It was impossible to stop them after that. At just 17 years old, he teamed up with his friend Allen to create an enterprise called Traff-O-Data, which was used to build a traffic counter based on the Intel 8008 processor. He graduated from Lakeside School in 1973 and then enrolled at the prestigious Harvard College.

But he left without graduating in 1975 due to lack of direction in his life at that time. He then built the Intel 8080 chip, the most affordable chip to run inside a personal computer at the time, after which Bill Gates realized that the best opportunity given by time was to start his own company.

Upliftment of Microsoft Company

MITS (Micro Instrumentation and Telemetry Systems), which built a microcomputer, agreed to allow Gates to attend an exhibition, and Gates created an emulator for him that was active in the Mini Computer and later in the Interpreter. Started working from Bill Gates and his partner were then allowed to work at MITS's Albuquerque office. They named their pair Micro-Soft and set up their first office in Albuquerque.

On November 26, 1976, he registered Microsoft as a trading company. Microsoft Basic became one of the most popular computer enthusiasts. Microsoft became completely independent of MITS in 1976, and Gates and Allen continued to work together on computer programming language software.

Microsoft then closed its office in Albuquerque and opened a new office in Bellevue, Washington. Microsoft worked very hard and diligently in the early years, moving towards progress. Gates also paid attention to business details, wrote code, and reviewed every line of code written and issued by other employees.

After the well-known company IBM showed interest in working with Microsoft, they requested Microsoft to create a basic interpreter for their personal computers. After overcoming many difficulties, Gates struck a deal with Seattle Computer Products to become an integrated licensing agent and later the full official of 86-DOS and later renamed it as PC-DOS to IBM for a fee about $ 80,000. After this, Microsoft became very famous in the industry.

Microsoft was reorganized in 1981 and Bill Gates was made its chairman and chairman of the board of directors. After which Microsoft presented its 1st version of Microsoft Windows.
