Unfortunately, to this day, there are parts of our Earth that no matter how hard our scientists try, even though they have dedicated their entire lives to discovering even the tiniest secrets of the planet. For example, they have not been able to drill to the mantle of the earth so far, as it is very deep. We hope researchers don’t give up and try until they reach their goal. In our current article, we have gathered such and similar facts that have not yet been logically explained.
1. The poles of the Earth may change
Scientists say the Earth's magnetic poles may change several times. The last known change occurred 10 million years ago. In light of this, there is a high probability that it will change again, but it is not known when.
2. The Earth used to have two moons
Scientists say 4.6 million years ago, the Earth also had two moons, only one orbiting 1,200 km from the other until they collided. As a result, there is now logic as to why the two sides of the Moon are different.
3. There is a “Moonquake” on the Moon
Not everyone knows that there is also a lot of earthquakes on the moon, they are much less common, and their strength is not very intense either.
4. Our earth is spinning fast
The movement of our planet around the Sun is faster than 108,000 km / h, and its own rotation is 1600 km / h. On the other hand, we humans only sense its movement when its speed changes, because we do not feel its constant speed due to gravity.
5. Interesting gravity
At some point on our planet, gravity is stronger and weaker, due to its non-regular spherical shape. Such an anomaly can be observed in the Hudson Bay area. Scientists theorize that weak gravity occurs due to the low density caused by fast-melting glaciers.
6. Our earth is very, very polluted
It’s true that we didn’t say much new with this, but astronauts in space reported that our earth looked completely different in 1978 than it did in 2020. The planets blue and green, unfortunately, are now dominated by gray and brown, and this is due to the abundance of waste.
7. In the old days, everything on Earth was purple
Scientists say that in the past, everything we see today as green was actually purple. This may have been because certain microbes did not use chlorophyll to utilize the sun, but organisms that were responsible for the purple dye.
8. Mysterious oceans
Scientists, at a depth of 410-660 km on our planet in the so-called mantle, have come across a hitherto unknown catchment area that is likely to be more than 2.7 billion years old. The amount of water found here would be able to fill the oceans on Earth three times.
9. Life on Mars
After years of speculation and research, scientists have finally found some essential molecules on Mars. It has also been revealed that there are carbon-based molecules in the planet’s soil that are not remnants of the Martian.
