Engineering, science and technology and agricultural universities are being established in the country by departments and districts. Medical education has been expanded through 22 medical colleges and 1 dental college. There are also 4 engineering institutes, many polytechnic institutes and vocational training institutes, leather technology colleges, textile technology colleges, graphic arts institutes etc. Privately established small technical institutes have been and are being established in the country. However, it goes without saying that the opportunities for vocational education that exist now are insignificant compared to the huge population.
However, in the greater interest of the nation, in order to expand vocational education, the government has recently taken steps to provide vocational education at the secondary level. Because, the educated manpower of the country is formed on the basis of secondary education. In the meantime, steps have been taken to expand vocational education at the secondary level: making agriculture and home science compulsory, introducing double shifts in polytechnic institutes, introducing basic trade courses in ninth and tenth classes in schools and madrasas, general education and vocational education since 1995.
